"Found this place via google search. Don’t be put off by a few bad reviews. It’s sort of hidden, but we came by the back waterside entry which has a new looking mural/sign painted on the wall. I was greeted promptly even though it was...pretty clear I am a tourist. The waiter was nice and patient and spoke excellent English. Got the fresh cheese with bread for €3, soup of the day €1 , house wine [1 “copa”, or a huge 12 oz glass filled to the rim €1 . Sparkling water was .10 more ! . Entrees were squid came with mixed veggies and potatoes for €13, and bisteca at €10. I thought it would be a steak in the US style, but I must have misspoken, as I got veal steak, grilled to med rare perfection, with a fried egg on top, French fries, and Portuguese rice like pilaf . No complaints, it was delicious and very filling and an excellent value. Total came to $34 USD for a hearty local style dinner. Got my check, paid with Visa and was on my way. Only other folks in the place were locals. Place was relaxed and a nice place to spend a chilly spring evening."
