"It took 50 minutes for our food to arrive! We were told the kitchen had some sort of issue, but only after we asked what had happened. It was on a Saturday at 3pm, there were only 3 tables as well. Such a disappointment."

"My tea cup was cracked, the food was placed down with absolutely no explanation, we had no clue what was in the sandwiches or what the cakes were. Staff never spoke, regents street shop was tired I think perhaps the staff were too. Overall disappointing."

"I went here for my 20th Birthday, booked a table of 8 for afternoon tea. When I came the table wasn't ready and they never asked for my reservation name. Then the waitress gave us lunch menus after stating we'd be having afternoon tea. And as only 4 of us had arrived and the other 4 were parking the other car. The waitress asked if she could bring everything out now? I felt about rushed and the waitress had very poor attitude towards us. Table maintenance wasn't the best as everyone had finished their teas and it was on the table for 2 hours. I understand it got a bit busy but I could feel the stress from this waitress and it wasn't pleasent. The manager I don't remeber a name did look after us on the other hand and made sure we were okay. However for spending nearlly £200 and £20 service charge I wish I didn't bother. Sorry for this review, I can imagine it is probably an amazing place. But I was let down by my experience."

"It wasn 't busy and we might have got them on a bad day . . . the drink I ordered took two goes to get right (lemongrass and ginger tea, since you ask); I asked for no salad dressing and olive oil on my baked salmon and salad, that took two goes; my friend was called 'Miss ' when she came in and then 'Sir '; her glass for her drink was dirty; she did say her lamb shank meal was good and our other companion enjoyed his calamari followed by pasta; but then I had to ask for the bill three times. A little too it and miss to heartily recommend. Shame really. Easy to find, good space, well positioned for a nice meal out."

"On an icey cold evening I entered the restaurant that wore shopping bags and looked unglamorous. the restaurant staff was friendly and welcoming. I asked if I was ordering myself, and they showed me a place where I could place my bags, watch a menu and order. wow! the atmosphere is elegant with beautiful chandeliers and magnificent sitting. it makes fun to spy the Dessert window box from the es pane. When I returned to my hotel about 20 minutes, I was pleasantly surprised by the amount and quality of my fungal parmesan risotto and huh with carrots and green beans. every bite was delicious and satisfying. thank you for making my last meal in london special."

"Manager was rude, waiters were unresponsive, dropped plates everywhere, had to wait Aesops for a drink. Food was good BUT the male toilets were unacceptable and below any restaurant hygiene standards. All in all disappointed and would not recommend to anyone."

"It’s the best place for desserts for sure! The meniu is great. I love the design inside too. The service is amazing and everything is kept to a very high standards. It’s bit pricey but really worth it. It’s Knightsbridge.. I am always amazed by...Alexandra’s service. She is so prompt and always gives a nice welcome!"
