"I have awarded 4 stars for our visit on Sunday 1/5/22. Unfortunately, if we were ready to order, we were informed that she would run out of steak, which was disappointed because 5 of our party of 8 wanted exactly that. they wouldn't offer a dick. then we had to return to the menu to search for alternatives. our waitress was very helpful, with some standard items to put mixed grill with extra sausage instead of steak, and recommend a few dishes that we do not consider very professional. we drove with the meal mainly because it was a bank holiday weekend and was completely booked anywhere else. but the food we ordered was brilliant when a small pub lunches. also it was incredibly good. I would recommend the red lion despite the above problems. beautiful atmosphere, excellent service, friendly bargain. well done everything concerned."
