"45 years ago, my favorite spot a the beach was Ellen’s kitchen in the back of Doc Silvers drug store where we could get a southern style breakfast and Doc Silvers hangover cure (which worked)on a Saturday morning. Then the Beach Hut dinner became the place to go and was my favorite for years and years. Then Ed Malin decided to take the success of Angie’s Subs and try it at the Grom and what a wonderful decision that was. Ed, I am so glad you did this . You have a wonderful menu of breakfast and lunch items along with your daily special dish. My favorite continues to be your take on Shrimp Grits or one of the Chefs daily concoctions. You have done a wonderful job of giving us beach dwellers a new haven to come to and as at Angie’s , the energy vibe of all of your staff is warm and welcoming. At the end of the day, the food is what keeps us all coming back "

"Great breakfast. ordered the 222 breakfast 2 eggs, 2 speck, 2 pancakes. my wife ordered the 2 egg breakfast and substituted 1 pancakes for toast, the best idea was because she got hash browns. service 5 star speed to supply- 5 stars (existing)price 5 stars in harmony with other places."

"You are doing yourself a huge disservice if you don't go here. This place is AMAZING! Service, decor, ambiance, and especially the food were out of this world! Menu is constantly refreshed and names of drinks are adorable. Everyone loved what they ordered (recommend the biscuits with chorizo gravy and the eggs benedict) and bloodies were on point. No ressies but super easy to put your name in (we waited 25 min on a Sat morning), they text you when table is ready, you can order drinks while you wait and they will bring it to you and you pay right at the table when you are done. There's nothing not fabulous about this place .... including the GM, Tommy ? going back tomorrow again.Parking: Plenty of parking close by."

"The last time we tried to eat here there was a 2 hour line. So we were smart and went early (around 5 pm). We were seated right away and had the nicest server. The drinks and food was spectacular. When one guest in our group found their dish to be too spicy the server immediately changed it out. The portions on the rice dishes were amazing. The crab cake entree was a little small in portion, but that is the only complaint from this fabulous Nee Orleans cuisine restaurant!"

"Good, not great. the food was good. the room was pretty loud because it was only half full. it took minutes until the server showed up. it took an hour and minutes until our escapes appeared. the service was in the average. eating was good, but not at the price. the sushi was probably the best part. I was other places that are in the same price class and the overall experience is clearly better. I honestly don't think I'll be back."
