"My family I went to try Franks for the first time this past Sunday. Very busy which was nice to see. After 40 minutes, our food arrived. Two of us decided to get the Chicken Fried Steak which was pretty good, however, the mashed potatoes were luke warm and sour tasting and the mac n cheese was still powdery. Another ordered the catfish breakfast which he enjoyed mostly, however for the price of $17.00, the catfish filets could’ve been portioned bigger, it looked as though one filet was split in half so it wasn’t much. Our last person ordered the French toast breakfast which was great! I believe Franks is known for having great breakfasts, from what I’ve heard from others. The menu is so HUGE that it takes away from the focus of providing quality and tasty food. Our server Tiffany was thorough, friendly and offered good recommendations. Hostesses were great also!"

"My man friend and I decided to try out Frank's one lazy Sunday morning to kick his hangover and to see if the biscuits really are THE BEST."

"Good food and (very) generous portions. The atmosphere is a bit Spartan, and the service just a bit slow (but not bad). Since we're all here for the food, let's focus on that. Just about everything on the menu is big enough to share with someone else. If you can eat the whole Eggplant Pontoon, you might need to reconsider your life choices (or maybe you have a Michael Phelps workout routine and you actually need 10,000 calories). Seriously the portions are huge. Plenty of food. The chargrilled oysters are all good all five varieties. We had the sampler with chargrilled, Clem's style (pimentos, feta, and bacon), Kicking style (bacon and jalapeños), and Rockefeller (spinach and cream cheese). All of them are good, all of them worth having again. The shrimp and grits were the only lackluster thing we had very good flavor (good, creamy grits with bacon flavor), but very few shrimp. This dish would be ten times better with a few, large blackened or grilled shrimp on top of the grits instead of a few small ones mixed (buried) in. The side of onion rings, on the other hand, were top notch golden, crispy, and sweet. The Eggplant Pirogue is also top notch. The etoufee is excellent thick, dark, rich and full of crawfish, all on top of and inside a deep fried eggplant. A very good dish (and also too much to eat there will be leftovers). The side of loaded potato salad (also a candidate for leftovers) is very good full of cheese and bacon. Overall a good experience. The food is good and plentiful. You won't leave hungry."
