"The Veedels-Ableger des Brauhaus Früh is located in the heart of Nippes. It is a well maintained classic brewhouse with a correspondingly rustic atmosphere, friendly, sometimes some naughty babes, cool cereal from the barrel and a menu with a huge selection. The advantage here: Since it is not in the middle of the city center, prices are cheaper than in the original morning on the farm."

"General To complete a gourmet tour we usually visit a brewhouse. We haven't been to Sion for a long time. So we drove the big inn. Ambience As usual in Cologne there are plenty of wood and the rooms are generally dark. So the trunk house fits well into the row. But the rooms do not look very comfortable. But we went here because of the carol. Cleanliness Everything was well maintained. The large plant is located in the basement. It is quite clean; because here is a “choice”. This is not a bad decision in a brewhouse! But there is also an obstructed, just applause that can be reached, of course, evenly. Service The baskets are now no longer universally original wooden. But our basket was good on it; he served promptly. And after some time there were small conversations. It quickly turned out that he knew the Cologne market well, but also Belgian, Bavarian and other areas were not foreign. Together with two guests from Münster and the Köbes, we had very pleasant discussions about beer, wine and food. Each brewhouse also offers food. Many guests also use these offers. But usually I don't find the dishes very original. This is not a critique; for people want ice legs or carvings, for example. Sometimes I feel like a hearty plate. But usually not. The tasted food But small fortifications are naturally welcome to the brewhouse. Therefore we ordered “Halver Hahn” (5,40 € and “Happen Tatar” (6,80 €). The cheese dish includes a rake, good butter and a thick slice of medium Gouda. That was good for the beer. The Tatar is bovine hack. I'd rather like to make a bun. But that's a matter of taste. Both small dishes were impeccable and were quickly powdered. Beverages In a brewhouse, there is usually only one Kölsch brand, which can also be found in the name of the pub. So you have to consider what kind of appetite you have. Basically, I prefer Gaffel and Sünner. But Sion also has light heart notes. Nevertheless, I always enjoy the horror chamber, mills and pea; they are mild, but have their own character. Early and Reissdorf do not belong to my favorites. So today it was Sion Kölsch. After the war, Hans Sion put his beer in Cologne. At this time, however, a lot of pils and exports were drunk from the large breweries from the Ruhr region. Sion put on “home” and thus slowly brought the Kölsch back to the fore again with some fighters. Today, about 90 percent of Kölsch are drunk. The beer must come from Cologne (exception is currently only Zunft Kölsch from Wiehl . The hay market is expected to host two brewing houses without carols in 2022. Let's see how the locals react. I'll rather stay at Kölsch (in a restaurant (or even taste special craft beers at home. Price performance ratio Kölsch costs the bar almost everywhere already 2.00 €. This is a house number! In 1966, a glass still cost 45 pears. But: § 5 of the Kölschen Basic Law says Nix bliev as et wor! Conclusion 4 – happy again (1 – certainly not again, 2 – hardly again, 3 – if it results again, 4 – happy again, 5 – absolutely again – after “Kuechenreise” Date of visit: 28.01.2022 – evening – 2 Perosnen My enjoyable experiences also stand with [here link]"

"The Brauhaus was pretty spacious and I loved the set-up besides the people always using the door that had a sign on it specifically stating NOT to use it and letting the cold air in. lol Tables and menus were nice and it was fairly empty when I ate there. The server was a sweetie. But...the meal I ordered was pretty terrible, I hate to say. The Haxen was overcooked to the point tat the meat was dried out like jerky. The potatoes were oily and and vegetable side tasted like it was dumped out of a can and into the microwave before it was put on the plate. I really wanted to like this place just for the atmosphere, but I go to restaurants for good food and this just wasn't it. I could've gotten better Haxen at just about any local imbiss/butcher's counter...heck, even at Globus (large grocery chain similar to REAL). lol Who knows? It might be worth another shot the next time I'm up this way, but I'll probably be hesitant at first because of this experience, sadly. :("
