"Family meal at lunchtime. Despite booking, they didn’t seem to be aware of it. It wasn’t busy but even so...Service was very slow. On two occasions I had to go and find the waitresses who were leaning on the bar chatting. Apparently totally oblivious we were waiting to order. And then we we had finished"

"The staff work so incredibly hard to make sure the food is well prepared and served in a timely manner. The portions are great and the quality is super. I have a meatless Sunday roast for only £8 but couldn’t manage it all. Charlie bought my vegan gravy incredibly quickly making our visit a real treat. We will definitely return and recommend The Sondes Arms at Rockingham."

"I visited 58 years ago the old chains pier on the hot day of betty, the bamboo grill owner). despite many changes in the property, the pub has retained its ambiente and its charm. my 20-year-old enkelin enjoyed the experience as much as I. It is not for nothing the favorite Luncheon place of my old ex-Rugby to play contemporarily. Top tip is the cullen skink, followed by whistle and fishing and chips."

"For those of you who may have read my reviews over the years, you'll know I don't do half-hearted reviews.. I say it as I see or find it.. Well, this venue may be classed as pubgrub type establishment, But from the moment we arrived, and throughout our time here, the staff were very polite, very engaging, and so importantly, very professional .. So if management read this review.. Your staff were a credit to your business... So.. Now for the culinary part of this visit/ review .. Superb cuisine. I can honestly say that this display of culinary delights would NOT look out place in a fine dining restaurant.. I would even go as far as suggesting that the chef could easily be part of a Michelin starred restaurant.. The presentation , the textures, the wonderful tastes that engage in the mouth, just made this dining experience, stand out from the crowd, in my opinion.. I told lady at time of our thoughts. So if you're reading this, again.. Well done, and thank you all.. And if we ever visit nearby again, 100% we will definitely return..."

"We stayed for a friend 's 60th party. Our double boutique room (1) was lovely, spacious, quirky and practical with a very comfy double bed. The bathroom too plenty of space to put stuff , shampoo, aftershave, makeup etc and a well lit area to apply makeup or shave. We did try out the jacuzzi even though it was after midnight.....lovely. Breakfast was served up until 11.00 which was really appreciated after a late night. Perfect breakfast served by helpful courteous waitress. Would definitely recommend staying here,"

"We visited today, after previously visiting before, I have to say I was a little disappointed that the menu was majority fish especially with the starters Im not a big fish eater! There was very little option for non fish lovers as a starter except gazpacho soup. Before we even were seated we were kept waiting for 10 minutes to be sat down as a table was making 4 different payments in front of us. When we did eventually sit down the table was incredibly sticky, and despite being asked to be cleaned it needed a deeper clean than that. Food was fairly good, bit disappointed with the chicken burger and the roast the staff were helpful though. You could definitely tell they were short staffed."
