"I came here because I was craving for Baumkuchen. It was pretty early for dinner so we enjoyed the quietness. The menu did not contain any pictures so we had no idea how big the portion would be. A friend and I ordered gyoza, soba, mix mushrooms and grilled salmon. The waiter came with huge plates every time : especially the grilled salmon, wait, three big slices of salmon I meant. We were really full even before we ordered the dessert. But Baumkuchen was the very first reason why we were there, so I ordered it anyway. And voila, only a few minutes later, a huge plate of Baumkuchen with two scoops of ice cream was served on our table. It was delish and maybe it would be a lot more enjoyable had I not eaten so much before :"

"Hidden away in the relatively new Bakery Lane precinct is this fabulous little Korean restaurant with a broad interesting menu ( unlike the many Korean chicken restaurants that are flourishing in Brisbane ).We both had the delicious bowl of Teriyaki Salmon on rice with salad all thrown together. The food looked great, very fresh and perfect for a late lunch. On a coolish day there are plenty of heaters to keep you warm in the courtyard.Reasonably priced and quick efficient service."

"How disappointing! I ordered the teriyaki chicken and it was far from it. The sauce was watery, the portion was tiny and for the price I paid, definitely not worth it. I’m happy to revisit and try it something else on the menu but this was a massive let down."

"My first impression was wow. I liked going down the stairs to enter the restaurant. You immediately felt you were entering somewhere new, a place you hadn't visited before. Maybe somewhere dangerous? Haha! It felt hidden from the outside world. In the space of a week, I visited Heya twice for dinners. First visit was on a quiet Monday night but the diligence from the waiter was very good. He was very keen on telling me what the restaurant had to offer and ensured I was enjoying my order. The second visit was on a busy Saturday night with a few friends. They liked the setting and atmosphere of the place. It was bustling! We had a great time. We chose a mix of foods but the cheeseburger spring roll & Karaage chicken popcorn were my favourites. The only thing I would suggest is some kind of light/lantern to read the menu; something that could be switched on and off, so not to spoil the atmosphere too much.I will definitely return to try more of the menu. I hope there is a hot noodle dish!"
