"This load was really practical when on a long stay in japan, where we are able to buy ingredients to cook for ourselves. there were many vegan snacks like cookies and chocolate. a large selection of products in the load are characterized as vegan, and all that we were not sure that we were able to ask the owners can easily identify for them whether something vegan or not."

"I found this place using HappyCow. While Menbaka is an omnivore restaurant, all menu options (granted, the menu consists of about 5 items- ramen, fried rice, slaw and fried chicken) can be “veganised.” Which is awesome. The gimmick is the fire ramen… essentially a normal bowl of ramen that is “flambeauxed” in spectacular fashion in front of you. The owner, who other reviewers have noted is a character, will take your phone and hang it up to record a video of the action. The food was great. The crowd was a lot of fun, albeit heavily weighted to foreigners. All in all a must visit for vegan tourists."

"We had such a fun and tasty experience with Miho-san, the cook/owner! I was really happy with the great selection of vegan options. it is the perfect cozy, intimate place to go with friends. Non-vegan friends all liked the vegan dishes we ordered, so I would recommend to everyone, especially mixed groups."

I love dumpling and that was such a tasty bite. the set for 2 was perfect for the exchange between my man, me, and our 2 small children, but only after a lot of snack on street food all day. If we were hungry, we would have had to order more gyoza for the children. the chef/owner does everything by hand. no ideal place to take small children, but our 4"

"Was kind of expecting to be blown away given the reviews this place got? Still really really good but didn't quite live up to the hype for me. Would of liked the dumplings to be done a bit longer and more crispy and fried as you can see in some of the other reviews. Really cool staff and atmosphere though."
