"Its our first time in This mall and Akimitsu. We actually chose Ramen Nagi but discovered to our delight that we can cross order in Akimitsu too. Perfect!

First off , notice that their prices were on the high side.

2nd son and father-in-law ordered tempura. 2nd son prefers Tenya's tempura better than Akimitsu's version . Sorry.

Spicy Salmon Sushi : filling and flavorful. Thumbs up

Ambiance : Resto is fairly new, clean and cosy. It gets to be a little cramp though when fully booked

Service : Attentive and cheerful

pigoutsundays.blogspot.com"

"Food was good! And servers are nice. It just took a bit of time once there were more customers since they only have a few servers and they have to get all the orders from the buffet table, because of covid measures<br"

"If you're looking for an affordable Japanese restaurant with a casual ambiance, Kimono Ken is a good place to try. The service is good, the food's good, and the price is just right. :"

"This nice quiet place is near our condo and we eat here at least two times or three times a month. For the appetizers, gyoza and ebi crackers was good. The curry dishes are good but what I really liked was the pork katsu (hire) pork tenderloin. Sauce was well balanced, we really liked it!"

"Nozumi’s entrance leads to a dining room with plenty of space which can accommodate up to about 100 people. This casual dining restaurant is decently organized with comfy white couches paired with white tables and black tables and chairs featuring a modern vibe; counter at a corner; wide window that completely illuminates the area with natural light and gives a view of the streets extending to the sky; and a private room at the back.

Customer service was immaculate and it was one of those rare occasions where I felt that the restaurant deserved to be tipped for service charge. The servers were quick on their feet and accommodating to our requests.

For the main entrees, the first to be served was the Beef Teriyaki (PHp 220). It was so flavorful that even if I don’t favor eating beef because of diet and my braces, I liked it. The dish did not disappoint as it was both tender and moistly marinated in the sweet sauce.

The Green Maki (PHp 195) was stuffed with traditional black seaweed wrap, sliced raw tuna and salmon, and the Japanese sticky rice was covered with green-colored tobiko fish eggs. Best eaten as a whole, the Green Maki tasted salty, tad sweet and lightly acidic with a floral aroma of fish that hits the nose. Bite in and your teeth will sink effortlessly through the tenderized flesh of the meaty tuna and salmon.

For the Sweet Crazy Maki (PHp 225), I thought ingredients used were simple but those that make you reflect on the power of simplicity and balance. You’ll feel a bit more zen about life as you reflect back on the bites that preceded the spicy fish and cheesy toppings on Japanese sticky rice and fish roe.

The Tofu Steak (PHp 175) was revelatory. Quivering like a nearly-cooked custard, the silken tofu was so soft that it can almost melt over your tongue as soon as you put it in your mouth. The outer skin of the tofu was nicely done and although there’s ground meat and sauce all over, the taste of soy was still much evident.

Other palate-provoking dishes were: Ebi Tempura (PHp 190, 4 pieces; PHp 280, 6 pieces), Hiyashi Ramen (PHp 220), Gyoza and Ebi Mango Salad (PHp 215).

For more info, please visit: http://rochkirstin.com/review-nozumi-japanese-casual-dining-red-pastries-ortigas-pasig-city/

rochkirstin.com"

"Nommu, literally means 'to drink'. It was derived from the word, nomumasu. Nommu has been at Tomas Morato for a long time. Their place si small and can be easily missed, as compared to metrowalk, which has a bigger seating capacity.

As I was speaking to the owner, they bought the whole concept from the brainchild of nommu and revamped the menu by adding new food items to offer. They now specialized in Japanese-Fusion dishes that fits the pinoy palette.

We got the bestsellers, as according to the owner.

Garlic Saikoro steak. It was seared beef cubes served with sauteed vegetables and a sauce. The beef was tender and seasoned well. It was cooked just right.

Uzura Bacon Yakitori is basically grilled, seasoned pork then served with a yakitori sauce on the side. The yakitori was overcooked and was a little dry outside. The sauce was too thick that can become salty when dipped too much. The sauce was nice, sweet, savory, but salty for my taste.

Spicy Tuna Sashimi was just lacking some flavor. It was chopped tuna with Japanese mayonnaise topped with tempura bits. I prefer my tuna with alot of tempura bits to give it a nice crunch and texture and to balance of the mayo. It also lacks thin slices of scallions, that doesn't just ad color, but also flavor to the dish. Lastly, I hope next time they would have a better tuna supplier, because it wasn't as fresh as i was expecting. It tasted nothing, no fishy tuna aroma.

Crispy Chicken Teriyaki. It was fried chicken thigh fillet that was dressed with teriyaki sauce. I like the crunchiness of the chicken taht was perfectly complimented with the sweet-salty-teriyaki sauce. This was my highlight for the night.

Volcano Roll. It was tempura batter, fried salmon maki roll dressed generously with teriyaki and cheese sauce. At first glance, it was drowned with both sauce. It was just overflowing. The maki was crunchy on the outside, but can't really taste the filling until I broke it open to see whats inside. I find the maki too sweet and can't really taste the cheese sauce. I think this is for beer match to compliment its strong flavor with a glass of beer.

Lychee Blosson Sangria was the best drink I had. It was served in a carafe. It was sweet, tropical-fruity with an after taste of red wine. The best part is, it has whole lychees that is soaked in the cocktail.

Sensei's Passionate Mojito was also good. It is nice, citrusy. The fruity flavor masks the taste of the rum, which is really good. As a person who dislikes the taste of rum.

Overall, Nommu has the potential to be known as a Japanese bar, but needs to improve on some of their menu items and really explore who and what Japanese cuisine is all about.

#TheFoodCrawlers #OngsFoodprints #TheLostDiego"

"Its a Ramen Weather last Friday. I was surpised to see Ramen sets. These are served on a limited time, from 2PM til 6PM.

I tried the Butao Gyoza for P380. It is served with Ramen Nagi Chips, Potato Salad (wow! With wasabi after taste ♥️),Bean Sprouts and of course the yummy, Gyoza. Ramen is smaller in size, and I can tell quality of meat is different from the regular priced ramen.. its like ham???? but the soup is consistent, still rich and flavorful.

Verdict: Ramen is still good! Though I sort of miss the chasu quality that I nirmally have. Bit for the price, its Sulit ???????? by the way, i am still amaze with the interiors, its bold, red and you get the Japan ambiance♥️"
