"Meine Frau und ich waren hier essen und es war nicht befriedigend. Schon von aussen sah man dem Lokal das Alter an, was sich im Inneren fortsetzte. Außerdem hatten wir noch nie so ein leeres Lokal gesehen, wie dieses, wir waren die einzigen Gäste. Dementsprechend war auch das Essen. Mein Souflaki war leider anscheinend von vorgestern und auch das Essen meiner Frau war nicht berauschend. Ich kann die positiven Bewertungen nicht verstehen und wir werden sicher nicht mehr hier essen."

"It was a great place to go after Schönbrunn palace visit. It seems like you need to make a reservation to have a relaxing lunch or dinner. I went there without any reservation, but they kindly let me have a dinner for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The food was great, and staff were all extra friendly. I greatly appreciate their food and service, and left a bit tips, and they offered me a free shot of Ouzo (Greek). So nice to visit there, I recommend you going there for sure for dinner!!"

"Im Stuwerviertel, mitten im 2. Wiener Gemeindebezirk, gibt es seit einiger Zeit das Thalassa, Ein griechisches Lokal abseits des blau-weißen Standardstylings im Kellergewölbe eines Luxussuiten-Hauses, das dennoch Urlaubserinnerungen weckt und mit den Klassikern der griechischen Küche beeindruckt.Der Empfang ist stets freundlich. Der umtriebige Chef organisiert auch dann noch einen gemütlichen Platz, wenn es eigentlich schon knapp mit den Plätzen wird. Im Sommer steht den Gästen auch noch ein schattiger Garten zur Verfügung. Und kaum hat man sich niedergesetzt, steht auch schon ein Stamperl Ouzo bereit.Die Speisen erweisen sich als gut, es ist typische griechische Kost wie man sie aus dem Urlaub kennt – und das auf hohem Niveau. Kein Schnick-Schnack sondern einfach gutes Essen. Das Gebotene wird stets liebevoll angerichtet. Ich habe dort schon Verschiedenes probiert (Meeresfrüchteteller, Gyros, Souvlaki), es hat mir stets geschmeckt. Mein persönliches Highlight war bis jetzt die Mykomos-Pfanne (Schweinsfilet in Metaxasauce). Das Thalassa erweist sich als echter Gewinn für den 2. Bezirk. Nachdem es die Ios-Taverne auf der Donauinsel nicht mehr gibt und der neue Grieche dort nicht mehr als Durchschnitt darstellt, habe ich wieder ein griechisches Lieblingslokal in meiner Nähe. Aufgrund der Weitläufigkeit des Lokals ist das Thalassa auch für größere Gruppen geeignet, da sollte man dann aber reserviert haben."

"If you are in the neighbourhood, try this Greek restaurant. The food is quite nice and the service is also good. Despite the fact that it's not a terrible location, food wise it's quite good. It offers a rather wide classical Greek menu (quite unexpectedly wide, I'd say) and the prices are very decent also. So, if you are in the area and you are ready to trade the classical Wiener schnitzel, this Greek may be an interesting choice."
