"Arrived to find a long queue to sit down and eat. As there were just two of us, I was asked if I'd sit on the high stools rather than wait quite a while so that's what we did! Enjoyed my meal as good as usual and staff friendly as always."

"What can I say....scrummy lightly battered tasty cod and fabulous chips. Attentive friendly service. I havent been here for a long while as its not close to me and fish and chips is a rare treat I have. I was going to go to Rickys (also fabulous) but too much of a queue there. I wasnt disappointed...its as good as it ever was..and fish is skinless too so less grease. Thank you Fry Inn...blimmin' lovely !"

"Stayed in Bournmouth for a few nights, and this place came up as one of the best fish and chips around town, so I thought I would give it a chance out. Was not disappointing, it was absolutely marvelous.The chips was one of the finest I have ever had, and the fish was cooked to perfection. Must try if your around."

"Absolutely LOVE JB's for having a great vegan menu! We ordered basically everything to try for our first time. The battered sausage, tofish and chips were delicious. Found that the pea fritter and banana blossom fish were nice, but a bit too plain. Would definitely order again, so good to have this option for a yummy takeaway."

"Kind of Mediterranean, kind of Italian, coffee shop by day, restaurant by night in the heart of Westbourne. Fairly old fashioned looking place but the food was pretty good. Based on our meal, the fish would be the recommendation. Salmon and Prawns and the Seabass were lovely. The pastas were very salty, the stir fry was nice but could have done with more sauce and the veg cooking a bit more. Probably would go back as the staff were friendly and the deserts were also nice."

"Last night I had one of the finest seafood casual dining experiences at Alfie's. I am on a week long business trip for training and staying at a local Embassy Suites in Lompoc. After a long day of work, I was feeling some fish and chips calling my name and chose Alfie's for its proximity and easy to find location. From the street, the place has a curb appeal and looks and feels like a nice and fun place to eat. There was no second guessing myself after walking through the front door. The smell of delicious seafood enticed all my senses. The place is well themed with beautiful décor inside and plenty of seating for dining couple, families, or large groups. The gentleman at the front counter made excellent, knowledgeable dinner suggestions to me based on my preferences he inquired to know before I made an order. I spent just over $50 (including a tip for the nice counter guy and settled on a Clam Chowder with a Bread bowl, Cajun Catfish Combo with Shoestring fries, an order of Calamari and four Jumbo Shrimp Side entrées. I was offered containers to take ketchup, lemons and other items from the self serve condiment counter while waiting for my order. When my order was ready the presentation was beautiful. The items were individually properly and neatly packaged in a large bag for take out. The bag smelled so good and special that I strapped it in my front passenger seat as if it were a child. When I got to the hotel down the road, I unpacked the food on the table and dived in. The food was still hot (as if it were fresh out of the kitchen and I enjoyed the best dinner ever. The clam chowder was full of flavor; creamy and chunky with just the right amount of crunch with the added oyster crackers. The bread bowl was warm inside with a crispy outer crust. (They even gave me the gluten doughy center core from the bread bowl, which I loved! The Jumbo Shrimp was perfectly seasoned and crispy. The calamari was excellent. The catfish was perfect juicy with the perfect amount of herbs and spices and crunch. The meal was enough for two people, but I binged, and the post meal coma made me feel like a king for the rest of the night. Before this week is over I am coming back for more. This restaurant is a model for what others should strive to become. Thank you!"

"Walked in here for the first time in months to find it had changed hands for what must be the third, fourth, fifth? time in two years, I've lost count and it is now called Tatnam Fish and Chips. It was busy but needed some chips for elderly grandparents dinner who were waiting at station for me to help with their luggage home so was happy to wait for my turn in queue. Twenty minutes later it was finally my turn, only for them to use the remianing chips they had readily available in an online delivery that had just walked through the door and got told another five minutes. At this point I couldn't wait any longer, took the refund after angrily stating why the online delivery got priority and that they would be getting bad reviews everywhere I could post them. In summary, respect your queue or this is the result."
