"As an executive chef, restaurant owner... I applaud the ownership for finally bringing this chain out to the Fraser Valley. It 's long overdue and provides a great addition to the wonderful food scene in Chilliwack. I 've been a fan of C-Lovers for years. In fact we 've regularly made the commute to our favourite location in Abbotsford without a second thought. (Same ownership as Chilliwack) Staff are super friendly Service has always been beyond expectations, and the quality on point. No different for our experience in Chilliwack. But......... The key ingredient for any food chain.... from The Keg, Greek Island, or even Browns is consistency in its menu..... and portions. I would have loved to give Chilliwack a 4-5 star, however in direct comparison with their Abbotsford location, portions are smaller. Much smaller in fact when it comes to the fish portions specifically. When your plate arrives in Abbotsford, the food is starving for a larger plate, it 's abundant, it 's falling off, and the service staff struggle to make it to your table without fries falling off. Chilliwack fails to deliver a consistent portion though. The dinner was floating in excess plate space. Remember, we eat with our eyes first and foremost Trying to find your food is never a good thing for a positove dinner experience. I had a conversation with the server, pointed out the differences, and that we were regular long time clients, and she responded by saying we cut our fish differently than Abbotsford. Which brings me to my original point.... consistency in menus. Cutting fish differently doesn 't affect volume. It 's cutting corners. Savings. Portion control. But it shouldn 't be at the client 's expense. So for us, we will continue stick to the Abbotsford location and will sidestep Chilliwack. As a client, a consumer, and perhaps someone with too much insider knowledge and information on what goes on behind the scenes, I still want value for my hard earned income. I hope the management team will address this and bring about the required changes. Chef Swan"
