"First time to visit here and we loved the place absolutely. we were sold by fleur who really friendly, fast, efficient and attentive and the place. the food was so delicious and was really decadent with love to detail served, each mouthful was the heaven. the place itself is simply so beautiful and cozy. the live music of the wednesdays made it even more amazing. do not wait to come back here!"

"I took my fish and chips to the car nearby. Luckily there was a lovely black cat that sensed the food. I shared half the fish with it and threw the chips away because they were just warm. Fish was wet inside. For another £2 I could have sat down in Charlies Chips and have mushy peas, bread and butter, tea or coffee but I thought I would give Browns a whirl. They should change the name of this chippy as I'm sure the present occupiers are degrading the past reputation."

"Recently, when I have collected my fish chips I have found the chips to be dry and crispy as always, but the fish, though obviously fresh and of good quality, to be disappointingly swimming no pun intended in grease and therefore very unappetising. I believe that when taken from the fryer, the fish are not rested in the warming drawer long enough to drain them of fat. I am only writing this review not to impinge on the excellent reputation of Skippers but in the hope that a minor change in procedure might restore the food to its original high quality. I have also noticed that when the food was below standard the owner was not present."
