"Huge portions for price, but not very good I feel a little conflicted about Sourdough Joe's. We went at 4:30pm, so before the dinner rush and were greeted and seated promptly by friendly waitstaff. We ordered the 2 piece cod fish and chips and Yukon gold poutine, which comes with ham, mushrooms, mozzarella, and gravy. It was a long wait for having very few customers, but when the food did come, it was blazing hot and there was plenty of it. We were hungry, but if we'd known how huge the servings were, we probably would have ordered only one dish. The fish was pretty good. One piece was about the size of 2 normal sized pieces. The fries were greasy and not crispy. The coleslaw was strangely sweet, almost dessert-like, as was the tartar sauce. The poutine was just strange. The mushrooms were whole and appeared to be raw. Again, massive enough to feed two people with average appetites, but too salty and greasy to be very tasty. I felt bad for the waitstaff. Our lady said she was actually a carpenter just helping out because the owner was having a hard time finding anyone. She was very nice."
