"The Armview is most definitely a family favourite… I’ve been here several times and they don’t disappoint, from the quaint decor, friendly staff, and tasty menu you can’t go wrong. As others have stated parking is limited and can be tricky- that aspect is nothing to stop you from visiting this place if you want some reimagined classics. Stopped by the other day and had a lovely brunch. Pictured: Irish Coffee, Mimosa, Lobster Benny, Breakfast Burger, Bacon, baked beans."

"Stopped in with spouse and son on a Monday night. Had apps, drinks and desert . Will say based on that small sample size (2 apps, 1 salad, 4 drinks, 3 deserts) everything was done really professionally and either "very good" or "excellent" to the point I malt be back for the full meal tomorrow night...."

"Very good over gluten-free and keliac. although everything we have ordered was gluten-free, they have prepared a celiac meal. it was nice that they had gluten-free items on the children's menu and all desserts are gluten-free! Taste eating, excellent service. great experience."

"I'm not a seafood expert. I grew up on the prairies. That's my excuse. Regardless, I wasn't going to pass up on the offer from a local of a lobster dinner upstairs at Salty's. It's been years since I had lobster. My 1½ pounder did not disappoint. It was nicely cooked, all set to be taken apart and eaten. For me, there was just enough melted garlic butter; others may want more. My asparagus was fresh, pinky-finger thin and properly done. Rhubarb crumble for dessert was a fitting finish. I have to admit that, prior to my trip, I was unaware that Nova Scotia had any wineries. The local wine that we had went well with lobster. One guest had the lobster thermadore, calling it the best he'd ever had. Service was friendly and properly attentive."

"My wife and I had just wrapped attending the Hal-Con convention and were looking for a nearby spot to try out. As soon as we got inside we were met with friendly faces and pleasant greetings. Loved the atmosphere and the decor inside. Both Lucas Tyrel were very friendly from the moment we sat down. Chatting with us, enthusiastically talking about the food and asking us about our experience attending the convention. The food was exceptional. My wife had the lamb shank, and I had the jambalaya, with a couple of nice cocktails and corn bread. I've never had jambalaya at all before, so naturally I had two bowls of it! Ha! I've almost never order two entrees anywhere but this was so good. My wife said it's among the best lamb she's had. We get to Halifax about once a year so next year we're planning on stopping in again, if not sooner if we get back into the city before then."

"Walked in.. table for 2 in the back where it's quiet and private. Beef tenderloin and pickle brined chicken were both amazing. The server was great. The drinks were great. It was our anniversary and the server brought us desert on the house. It's definitely pricier than most in halifax but the food is amazing. With the building being a historical property and very old.. the setting is very nice. Only drawback was seeing a fine fury friend scurey across the floor... but to be fair the building is a couple hundred years old."

"We were the first to arrive for Saturday brunch, and I felt like we had star treats. The restaurant itself is very unique and we sat under the glass ceiling. There were fresh flowers scattered over the room that felt like we were at a celebration. Our waitress was very helpful and attentive. I had the lobster Benedict and groundless mimoses, and she was fast with the refills. She was also helpful and showed some things to see in the city. I wish we had another day in Halifax to eat here!"
