"Going out to Catalina Island looking to catch Yellowtail, White Sea Bass, Calico, Ling Cod, Tuna, Barracuda, Bonito, Dorado, or Halibut is a great adventure and 22nd Street Landing Sportfishing provides the experience and means to make it happen. The crews on the Pursuit and Monte Carlo give it their all to make your trip fun and exciting. Starting from rigging your poles, tying your lines/hooks, setting your drags, to helping you land the big one, the deckhands are very helpful and provide a boatload of fishing knowledge and experience. They are very cool about teaching kids how to fish and will try their hardest to make sure they catch something. Even if you are kid with a scraggy beard or new to sportfishing, the deckhands and captain will instruct and show you the tips you need to know to land and catch fish. I always enjoy the ride on the Pursuit because of the great fishing and the sleeping bunks, which are convenient for naps before reaching Catalina and returning to the main shore. The fresh sea air, views of the island and coastline are very memorable to experience and worth a couple of selfies. Check-in is easy and fishing supplies are available at the store, where staff/employee are friendly and courteous. The breakfast burritos and hamburgers are some of the best around--on the coast or shore. They also serve snacks, coffee, soft drinks and cold beer. There is ample free parking and reservations can be easily made on-line or by phone."
