"Our third silvester spent at artisan and what a joy. I think the meal of the last night was superior to the two because the balance of the dishes was much better and perhaps not as hard as before. a beautiful place quiet and relaxed beautiful background music beautiful informative staff really good value for the quality of eating. only disappointment was the gallery that was not open what it was the first year we went. champagne and kanapes used to serve there and a chance to wonder to look at the art work there, but it means a revisit for lunch when the gallery is open. thanks artisan for a nice night. (we went after our meal to gateshead to see the fireworks from outside the saying and what a display that was this year)"

"This place is one of the species that offer game and sweet food. eating is excellent. her game kebab is amazing and we always come for more. try their venison, pidgeon or grouse. the menu changes depending on availability. could not recommend higher."

"I don't think this was a fine dining experience at all. Staff, although polite, were reluctant to change cutlery between courses and serving the next course before the current one is finished, then a very long wait for the one after. The dessert was good but each of the other courses completely missed the mark with either extremely overpowering ingredients or being completely bland and devoid of flavour. One of my few truly negative restaurant experiences especially considering the price of the tasting menu."

"Best restaurant in Newcastle!! How this place doesn't have a Michelin Star is beyond me. Great innovative dishes with flavours that are incredible. Very relaxed atmosphere, lovely friendly staff. Definitely worth requesting the tasting menu, give them a call in advance... 14 courses paired with wine. Small courses but incredibly filling by the end. Tremendous!! Great meal out... as always!"
