"By far the best restaurant in Pentiction. Beautiful setting and view accompanied by very good food, wine and service. Great for 2 people to larger groups for both lunch and dinner. Our fravorite is a having a bottle of Poplar Grove Blanc De Noirs with the flat breads on the deck."

"Tapas style restaurant. All the dishes were wonderfully prepared. Interesting without being weird. We had olives, meatballs, lamb raviola, beets, panzanella salad, smoked Gouda with gooseberries and crackers. A good cross section and all were delicious. Attentive yet unobtrusive staff. Lots of great Hillside wines on the menu and you can buy a bottle or two from the restaurant to take home if the store is closed. Try to sit upstairs on the deck if you can."

"Nite mare Brown Ale was pleasingly tart and not too sweet without being bitter. Cranberry Chicken flatbed was smokey and creamy with the herb cream cheese tasting very fresh. However I'm reasonably sure it's actually their spinach dip haha. Close to Skaha Lake so mightt as well stop by when down SkaHa way. Bike racks and a deck misting is a nice touch of comfort"

"We have dined at the VP for both lunch and dinner and have had really great experiences both times. The food is excellent and the service terrific. The view is A1 and worth the visit - even if you are simply having a glass of the Poplar Grove wine. It's not inexpensive however, so expect to spend some money on this meal."

"The good : Very good fish and chips. Decently priced . I always get the haddock .The seafood selection is great! They have lots of good deep fried . Shrimp . Scallops and clamsThe chowder is awesomeThey even have good platters that you can satisfy most peopleThe bad:The coleslaw is absolutely horrible . We have been coming here for 10 years or more and seems like it's always very dry. We ask them to put extra dressing but they never do .. we have complained about it many times and even when friends and relatives come over they love your seafood but nobody eats the coleslawFor Me it seems they don't cook it enough. Some time you get the odd cook whos working and the fish is a bit doughy So I always ask for it to be extra crispy... just to make sure it's done to my liking!"

"Randy and his team know what they're doing- they describe The Nest as handcrafted food with elevated service and it is exactly that! You can taste the passion in their food- everything is cooked to perfection with flavour combinations that are exciting, surprising and so harmonious. Every dish is complex and yet balanced- it will leave your taste buds singing with delight! The portion sizes are perfect and the drinks are amazing. The service is next-level incredible with ultra-friendly staff and a super inviting atmosphere. They are so wonderful with children and you can really tell that they love what they do. There is a reason why The Nest is our favourite spot to go when we dine out. Thank you Randy and team for the 11/10 experience every time we visit! We will see you again soon!"
