"I was really really excited to find this place. First, the location and second the vibe/set up was perfect. There's a very chilled out atmosphere and the decor is with the times. Very unique compared to the normal Muslim owned place that you'd visit. <br/ <br/ As soon as you walk in there's someone attending to you. It's a bit awkward to actually decide what you'd like to have because the menus are situated at a very high level ! <br/ <br/ Seating is limited but honestly, the food is worth it! <br/ I had a tandoori chicken, beetroot and raita Flatbread and my friend had a banana and nutella French toast. <br/ Unfortunately, we had to opt for a takeaway as they were taking long to prepare the food and we had to be elsewhere soon. <br/ <br/ We were extremely satisfied with our food. The portions were large and the taste goes unmatched. I'm really stoked to go back and try more of their stuff. <br/ <br/ Go there and experience it for yourself !"

"We go years back with Cafe Paradiso, from birthday dinners to Breakfasts, to friends' reunions to random lunches during a weekday...<br/ <br/ It's an incredible venue high up in Gardens which has incredible city and sea views if you're seated outside ... almost like a secret garden of sorts.<br/ <br/ It's really cosy, unpretentious, and wholesome... as if you've been invited into someone's private home. <br/ <br/ For lunch, try their beef carpaccio starter with Mustard Parmesan dressing, capers, radish, ciabatta croutons and rocket! Incredible flavors!!! we still dream about it and find ourselves salivating each time"

"My boyfriend booked our birthday dinner here. Perfect choice as the location was super romantic with beautiful views of the ocean. The restaurant was surprisingly empty considering we went on a sunny Friday evening in December. <br/ <br/ The food here is Modern Mexican. I ordered the chorizo and cheese quesadillas. It was very filling. However the chorizo tasted more like plain ham and less spicy than what I was hoping for. My boyfriend had the fish tacos which were good but again could have been spicier. The food was meh considering the price.<br/ <br/ The tasty hot sauce, delicious cocktails and churros saved the day. I would come here again for sundowners and a snack. If you are craving Mexican food, there are better priced and tastier establishments in CT than Del Mar<br/ <br/ Service was good."

"A review from a Greek herself: my favourite Greek restaurant in Cape Town. <br/ <br/ The food is amazing! Absolutely love the mezzes and the gyros they’ve also got the pita bread just right. We always used to enjoy a good Mythos in the sunset but unfortunately they don’t stock them anymore. However, the service is always good though and they do plate breaking some Saturday evenings too, which is great for functions. Highly recommend!"

"Fillet steak, rare to medium rare, mustard seed and pepper encrusted basting, delicious chips and Springbok Carpaccio to boot. That steak though, wow. When combined with the special basting, the chips, and the specially matched glass of shiraz (or two), it was the best steak meal I've eaten. Coming from an Australian that is high praise.<br/ <br/ Just the tenderness, the technique in cooking, the quality of the cut, and natural flavour was exactly what I needed on this very chilly Johannesburg night.<br/ <br/ The five stars are for the steak. The Springbok Carpaccio was also interesting, while not everyone's cup of tea: the texture is not like beef carpaccio, and I couldn't quite put my finger on what it reminded me of in terms of texture and flavour. But then it hit me (and my dining companions) it tasted like a subtle and more substantial variation of smoked salmon. Don't laugh until you try it it honestly resembled smoked salmon more than game.<br/ <br/ The bottom line is this: if you're in Rosebank and enjoy a good steak, hearty food, and bold wine go to the Grillhouse. Pricey by Johannesburg standards, but on this occasion you do get what you pay for. I had to go back there twice to make sure, but I say five stars."
