"My long black did the job, a rather impersonal vibe lacking a little atmosphere but friendly and quick service. My company enjoyed a smoothie and an uneventful cappuccino."

"Stopped in here after seeing a movie and we decided to have a drink and lunch. We had the Souvilaki Platter with lamb and it was absolutely delicious. At first I didn't think there was going to be enough food for my husband but he was well satisfied after finishing his meal. This is the second time we have eaten here and both times we have been very impressed with the staff and the level of service. We will definitely be returning."

"Waited 45 minutes for 1x Granola bowl. After half hr I asked twice two waitresses to check on order they said “okay” I saw them go inside and do nothing about it no one got back to me. It was busy but not packed. After 45mins I had enough of waiting for 1 granola bowl so got my money back and left hungry and disappointed. The lady on the checkout was not even apologetic. Oh my way out a waiter ran up to me offering a free bowl which was a nice gesture however by this stage it was too late I was already very disappointed."

"This is hard because this cafe is a nice place with nice staff, a pleasant and cheery spot to grab a coffee and features cute and quirky vintage decor eclectically thrown together with the right dose of character. Unfortunately, it is clear this establishment is not run by people with culinary expertise. Sure the lunch menu was very basic, but it is possible to do basic well. As there were chalk board signs advertising "home made" specials, I figured I couldn't go wrong with a quiche Lorraine and side salad, envisaging handmade fluffy quiche with puff pastry. Surely if the words "all time favourite" is the description, it must be good quiche! I was wrong in that assumption. To my dismay, the actual quiche I got conformed suspiciously to the symmetrical, regular shaped and compact dimensions of a factory made, processed quiche with no textural variation whatsoever. Suspicions confirmed, it was horrible, fake and tasted like it was a week old - the pastry resembling in taste and appearance, high density fibreboard found in most furniture. The chunks of processed meat where the bacon was meant to be, were greyish in colour, a colour that should never be seen in food. I wish could say the side salad had redeeming qualities. It didn't, comprising of about 95% rocket leaves, 2% beetroot, 2% pumpkin and 1% feta. So after one mouthful of salad, I had nothing but limp leaves and an awful, lifeless quiche I couldn't eat. I had tea as well, but basic supermarket tea bag tea doesn't cut it. If you run a cafe business, I mean seriously, Lipton tea bags were the best you could do? Sorry, don't like giving negative feedback, but I don't recall even the quiche from the school tuckshop tasting that bad."

"Just had my breakfast at this local busy cafe. Merlo is one of my favorites, definitely the flat white made me a morning refresh by the skillful barista. Ham and egg roll was a surprise to me that the ham and fried egg were perfectly prepared with the BBQ sauces, which were all matched well with the bread that they served. Thank you for a nice experience."

"Casual atmosphere, laid back service which was nice and unrushed. Good drink range, slightly limited vegetarian options. Enjoyed my Barramundi although the price was a little steep for what was delivered in the context of the location, service and atmosphere. Not related to this establishment, but was disappointed to see a couple let their dog walk across a table and later lick water if the table; why do people do this. Animals do not belong at restaurants and do not belong inseats or tables - leave them at home and strictly at your feet where they are your problem."

"I called into Mylk + Ko for a late lunch ... the cafe is upmarket, very clean and has friendly staff ... I had a acai smoothie ($9.50) and super avo toast ($16) ... the food was prepared and served quickly ... the quality and quanity of the food was very good and the presentation of the food was excellent"
