"Had my first post lockdown brunch with some friends at the Birchwood. The menu was amazing and as we couldnt decide what to have we ended up ordering multiple options, all of which did not disappoint. We had everything from the eggs Benedict to the...French toast and would recommend it all! Wonderful atmosphere which also felt very covid safe and staff very friendly and welcoming. Already looking forward to going back "

"On a recent shopping trip round our fair town we found ourselves in old town and needing good food. We'd spotted Laila's before but had not been able to get so this was a perfect opportunity to try lunch as it was fairly quiet. We had a meze style including potatoes (Batata Harra), falafel with hummus, deep fried halloumi with cranberry sauce and Baba Ghanoush with Iraqi bread. It was all delicious and we were full at the end."

"Got to say how disappointed we were with the food we were served. , the person in the kitchen should be ashamed of themselves the way they sent out the dishes . It was tacky , tasteless, and really just uncaring , If you don’t care or are proud of your work just quit,, The service staff behind the bar and floor were excellent and caring ,"
