"The Fountain Inn in Gloucester is situated in a nice part of the city centre, very near the beautiful cathedral. The interior of the pub really does, as advertised, look like a country pub. It's small inside but has two dining areas, so for meals it accommodates more than appears to be the case on first impression. The food is absolutely first rate quality and a very reasonable price. Whilst the pub feels warm and inviting and the other patrons we meet are often friendly, as regular visitors we've unfortunately found that the same can occasionally not be said for many of the staff. Whilst service at the bar is usually quick and we're tended to at table very diligently, many of the staff, regardless of age, can be monosyllabic when spoken to, can come across as sullen and can occasionally even be quite rude and brusque in response to friendly enquiries or order requests especially when they're busy. This is a shame for a pub which otherwise faultless."

"This is a lovely friendly place, Atmosphere is lovely, Had brunch small breakfast which was still plenty enough, I did see other meals going out which also looked nice, the place was continuously busy, it over looks gloucester quays and there is seating outside and upstairs, this place is also near the indoor shopping arcade which has plenty of good shops, Levi, Fat face, weird fish, sketchers and many more, if looking for somewhere nice to eat and relax this is a lovely place, Good food and drinks, Definitely recommend and going back"

"My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the bottomless brunch here, the service was impeccable, never had an empty glass longer than 30 seconds! The food was delicious and we'd consider ourselves foodies that go out a lot, we would definitely recommend."
