"The food itself was good, normal selection of sandwiches, the scones were quite hard but tasted ok and the cakes were good however the service was a real disappointment. We were seated on arrival and the tea order was taken fairly quickly however minutes later our food still hadn’t arrived, we had managed to drink a whole pot of tea in that time. We had to ask where our food was and even then it took mins to come out. They did not really check things were ok very regularly. We waited ages after we had finished and had to ask for the bill. We also asked if our leftovers could be boxed up, they returned to us completely mushed up in baking paper and no box. Then we were ignored again and had to ask to pay for the bill. Then the card machine did not work but this was not explained properly to the person who had put her card in as no receipt was given. There just didn’t seem to be any staff around that could help or be spoken to. I would not recommend coming here."

"I was not too impressed with my food, but my partner was delicious, so just a question of taste. The server noticed that I don't like and gave me a discount on the price. The location was beautiful and then went around the gardens. Nice setting"
