"After we came here a few years ago, we fell in love with eating. we were so excited when jamie italian opened several restaurants in toronto. Let's just say we're glad we tried this first. So when we return to london, it is the first restaurant we met. we were not disappointed at all. our server, iryna, was very friendly and helpful in choosing our courses, and their recommended decisions make our wish perfect. our little seafood salad is not what we are used to, but she convinced us to try it, and it was amazing. the flavor, the sauce, as it is joined together, is exactly right. my wife wouldn't eat any beats, but she ended the half of the beats. so good it was seasoned and cooked. my wife chooses the small seafood linguine. the seafood was certainly fresh, and it was cooked in the fish stock instead of the usual cream sauce. the season was just brilliant! everything comes together as it should. my wife also very appreciated for the perfect part. she could have more, but then she won't have a room for dessert. To be honest, I was a little jealous of her court and wished there was more. Not that I don't like my court because I love mine. the pulled lamb was braided in a lot red wine and iryna was not exaggerated as they can taste the wine, but not the alcohol, so it was full of aromen. the pasta was cooked exactly right and the lamb just as it should. I could have more, but save to save space for dessert. after much consulting we settled with the botanical. Normally we could have everyone, but since we had lunch three hours ago, we can't. the botschafter was the right choice for us to meet the place. the chocolate covered chocolate moose was just the correct amount of chocolate, not exaggerate it at all, and if it have with the ice and the toffee sauce, each spoon simply make them go their mouth “mmmmm”."

"Sad to write a review of my first poor experience of Jamie 's. We asked for a seat by the window, which we were given, but the waitress had positioned us in the middle of a group of extremely loud mums and babies/toddlers sprawling across 3 tables. We were trying to have a quiet conversation and it was almost impossible. It was like being in a nursery rather than a restaurant. Our waiter was jovial although with a rather odd sense of humour we were baffled by his 'jokes '. When our food arrived they 'd forgotten the pancetta. Another waitress came to apologise and ask if we 'd like it separately, but it then came rather late for the meal. Burgers were fairly average and the desserts dry and uninspiring. The Gold Card 'extras ' are always welcome but we found it puzzling that a Negroni was on offer quite a niche drink and not to many people 's taste I would have thought. The best bit was the piece of chocolate orange on the top. Overall it was not the tasty lunch in a cosy and quiet environment that we were anticipating. We wished we 'd asked to move but there were very few tables available and it just felt wrong that we should have had to. Perhaps there needs to be a separate area for folk who 'd like a quiet lunch where they can hear themselves speak? Our last Jamie 's in the West End was fab, and I 've experienced many lovely meals in Cambridge and London. Will be much more cautious about where we are seated next time."
