"Booked the Wilde for Saturday night of phase 2. We were really looking forward to it as we had never been there before. Was told we would have the table until 8 O’ Clock. We ordered scallops to share for starter, there were 2 scallops on the plate for 9.95 needless to say we were disappointed. I ordered monkfish for main, was hoping it would be more filling. No sides came with it for 22.95. I wish I was told there was no sides with it when ordering. I had to order mash when I realised how small the portion was, I nearly had the monkfish finished by the time the mash came. It was lovely but totally over priced. My little portion of mash cost €4.00. At 7.23 we were told we only had 10 minutes left at our table when we went about ordering cocktails. We said ok even though we had been told we had the table until 8 on the phone. We were then told by a very unfriendly manager at 7.50 about 5 mins after receiving our cocktails that we had exceeded our time and to finish up. She wasn’t one bit friendly. We downed the cocktails, paid the bill and for the first time in years I didn’t leave a tip. Having worked in the hospitality industry for 4 years I know exactly what it feels like to be in the industry. There was absolutely no need for the bad reception we received. We went to SuperValu for a bottle of wine and passed the restaurant on the way down only to see that they hadn’t even got a chance to clear our table yet. There was no need to rush us in that case. Our holiday home is quite near the Wilde however I will not be back. Food was good but overpriced and very unfriendly customer service. Good customer service is key in my eyes."

"Popped in here on Wednesday evening around 9.30pm for a quick bite. Regular in Ballybunion but not a big fast food person. The lady at the till is very friendly and does her job well. I had what I can only describe as the nicest fish burger I've ever eaten and for that alone I will definitely return. The chips are also fresh Italian style which is always a bonus. I will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu once I've had another fish burger."

"We enjoyed a lovely lunch here in this friendly cafe. The girls working here couldn't have been more accommodating or upbeat. We were blessed with weather nice enough to allow us to eat out on the front patio. Inside is lovely and quaint too though We had scampi, toasted sandwiches and chicken and everyone was very happy with the fare."
