"Baulmes is a charming village, quiet yet surprisingly close to Lausanne, offering scenic walking paths in the Jura Vaudois region. Thanks to the Guide Michelin I discovered l'Auberge, where I could enjoy an excellent and relaxed lunch. Convenient access by public transportation - a mere 10-minute-walk from Baulmes train station.The restaurant is a bright and airy dining room, with much attention to details.Thumbs-up for the warm welcome and very attentive service - Swiss hospitality at its best! Choices for lunch are short, with focus on seasonal and regional produce: either one of the three Assiettes du jour, or the three-course business menu.I opted for the Menu d'Affaires, which proved a good choice. The salad with asparagus and smoked perch was light and good - a perfect starter on a sunny day. As main course I had a generous duck breast. Delicious, the meat was very tender and perfectly grilled rosa. I ended the lunch with a classic dark and white chocolate mousse dessert, sweet and tasty.A special mention to the Swiss white wine: Chasselas from Chablais, Petite Arvine and Humagne Blanche from Valais. Both were excellent.In high-price Switzerland the bill remained surprisingly moderate: CHF80 for the whole lunch. I will definitely visit again."

"We had a very good lunch on my wifes birthday in this resturant with our family the meal was very good we ate the house special and finished wife a lemon pie.prices are ok not too expensive all in all a great day out. if you are into walking there are plenty of routes"

"Saturday lunch, not very busy but still a great experience in this authentic place in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by cows and pigs. Once you get in, it's warm, cozy (try to sit in kitchen) and staff is very welcoming. But wait till you receive your Croute au fromage. Never had one like this before, offered in 3 sizes, did the mistake to take medium royal after a cold plate as an appetizer. Medium is still big! On top of the slice of bread lay ham if wanted , a thick layer of cheese soufflé, excellent by the way and the royal egg! The souffle makes it lighter. If can be and original !"
