"An impromptu stop for some food as the menu seemed inviting. i had an avocado and crispy bacon roll and the good lady quiche in a box. Both looked incredibly nice when they arrived in their boxes (all food seems to be served outside at present but there is plenty of cover). Both the roll and the quiche were very good and filling (we found the portions really perfect). So, all very good. Probably a tad at the pricey end but a) good quality, b) any of the packaging was all recyclable etc and c) this is Tetbury! Was reasonably busy on a weekday lunchtime. Imagine could be much busier at the weekends."

"Excellent service, friendly staff, however we go to this pub on occasions, but this time the meal was not great. we ordered chiken burger which we always have, but this time it came without hash brown in it and too much barbeque sauce, and limited chips, maybe a different chef ? but still missing items not good."

"Went here for a spot of dinner with my mum and it did not disappoint one bit! Fresh fish, crunchy but fluffy chips and lovely selection on drinks on offer. If you are in the area I would definitely recommend this unique little restaurant. Noticed when leaving they also do deliveries and takeaway!!! Definitely coming back!"

"We live locally and having read all the positive buzz about Sam Jaks in town, we decided to give their newer set-up The Plough in Stratton a go. From start to finish, we couldn 't have been less impressed as absolutely everything was mediocre. The surroundings, the decor, the service, and the table settings are underwhelming, and the menu choices are limited and overpriced. At £14, my beef carpaccio starter was little more than a couple of slivers of beef in a mustard-type dressing and their £17 fish and chips was 'bog standard ' and unremarkable. We eat out regularly and feel blessed to be surrounded by many great restaurants and wonderful dining pubs. Sadly, The Plough is neither."

"Incredible quality of food in a classic Cotswold village, there is actually a lot of seating but they have several separate areas so it feels cozy and they do not squeeze you in. The decor is phenomenal as was the service. We had the pigeon breast and potted shrimp appetizers, then we went for the risotto and the Gloucester old-spot bangers and mash. Serving sizes are generous so careful if you intend to hit the pudding list. All in all a great inn, unfortunately it's pretty gentrified clientele reflect the changing demographics of a part of the country I used to love, but now loved by those with Maseratis and Porsches too."
