"We had 2 great meals here, both evening and lunch as a stop during a beautiful walk across the country footpaths. Really lovely service ..couldn’t do enough for us and the food all freshly cooked and tasty with interesting selection..can recommend stuffed peppers and chicken pie. Good beer. We called ahead to let them know we were arriving as large group and had a relaxed time. Hope to be back next time we are in the area.."

"My last visit to Abergavenny was a year ago and then I had a very good meal in the Market Cafe. Today it was closed and so, looking in close proximity to it, I found Legends Cafe. Well! Am I glad I did! I ordered ham, egg and chips with a cup of tea. The portion size was impressive and the quality was second to none, the tea tasted great and was in a decent sized mug and the customer service was brilliant. And all at a very reasonable price! It was certainly a place with a welcoming atmosphere which, as a single customer, was appreciated. What particularly struck me was the care exhibited by the waitress to an elderly gentleman in the corner. It's not often you see such an exemplary standard. I am definitely going to return."

"Went here for lunch absolutely amazing food! I usually struggle to find one thing on the menu but here I was struggling to decide between 5 meals! I eventually decided on the beef madras from the specials board which was absolutely lovely. My husband had the home made faggots which he said were the best he’s ever had! Also the homemade carrot and corriander soup for starter was really really good! Also good choice of lager and beers. Will be visiting again! Staff very friendly and informative of the menu as well as quick service."

"Amazing little find. Stopped off on the way home from holiday. Were made to feel super welcome by Gemma. She was fab, super friendly, accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. Although it’s a locals pub we were made to feel really welcome and the locals were lovely. The food is excellent value for money. It came out quickly, was all freshly prepared and the portions were extremely generous. I can’t rate this place highly enough. It’s everything a village pub should be. Will definitely return"

"There was a homely, welcoming feel at this cafe with food made to order. There appeared to be one woman doing everything and she was very welcoming and friendly. I had a delicious bacon and brie sandwich followed by a lovely piece of caramel shortbread."

"4th time visiting while in Chepstow. Always go for scampi and chips. Slightly above average for a spoons Scampi was hot, chips tepid, mushy pea 's cold. Staff at the bar took so long to serve me, someone else had come in after me and taken my table. Bar staff very young and well below average. They had no idea who to serve in order and not very polite. Table service was good, very polite and he was cleaning tables in between serving. Over all, very clean place too eat."
