"Just returned from having afternoon tea which we were given as a gift. We were shown to the Library, a beautiful room to enjoy the experience. This was made even better by having a table next to the window to enjoy the view of the...parkland Service was first class and unobtrusive, The tea did'nt include the normal sandwiches but had a small Goats Cheese and Butternut Squash tart, a slice of sausage roll, small brioche roll with roasted salmon and Flatbread with coronation checken,all delicious.3 small but perfect scones and clotted cream and a lovely selection of sweet treats. We were given a choice of teas to accompany our food. We had a lovely relaxed couple of hours on such a dreary day Thank you Wynyard"

"Excellent find. I’ve wanted to try here for sometime, so on an impromptu walk around Yarm, we decided to go for some lunch. It’s a lovely stroll up to a quant area with views over Yarm. Ice cold Guinness was spot on and the food was excellent. My partner had a special Mediterranean chicken, and I had the beef pie. Very cautious when getting pies due to the disappointment when it’s loaded with fatty meat or mushrooms. This pie was exactly what you cross your fingers for. Perfectly cooked big chunks of beef in a rich ale gravy. Fantastic. And the landlord was brilliant. Really glad we went. I will definitely return recommend, I hope they don’t leave (but that’s just me being selfish)"

"What a lovely time we had here. My step daughter (11) and I enjoyed afternoon tea for two at a very low price of £16! We had a choice of sandwiches, scones and cupcakes plus crisps and salad. It was all brought out beautifully and they even had beauty and the beast teapot and cups! She loved it and so did I. Food was lovely. We would definitely come again! We did struggle to eat it all there was so much! No pre booking is necessary which is great. Very friendly service. 5 stars."

"New owners and new staff . We used to really like it here but meal this time was terrible. Burnt greasy parmesans and worst frozen chips ever. Service very slow even though quiet. Warm white wine. We all left percent of the meal and...my husband wouldn’t even stay to complain. If it doesn’t improve it won’t survive, such a shame."

"Looks a bit outdated from the outside inside a bit dark but with lots of memorabilia spread all round makes it a bit perky the food was to die for especially the steak pie and you get ample portions friendly staff willing to help with our needs"

"My favorite place on the high street! eating is amazing, the decor is so cool inside and they can enjoy a meal or take away without the fault! While all the meals I have tried were delicious (Buddha Shot, BLT Sandwich, Carnivore Breakfast and the Lentils Curry, my sweet tooth will always put the cake at the top of my favourite list! all cakes are made with healthier alternatives, but still taste like a cake should! will definitely become a normal!"
