"With one bite I could tell that this sushi was really good quality. I throughly enjoyed eating it, especially with their soy sauce. It was particularly..."

"Stopped by because of their happy hour prices! Pretty cheap compared to other happy hours. A nice selection of sake and beer. Had the pad Thai and it came out in 5-7 minutes. The restaurant was not busy maybe because it was only 5pm but it's a nice medium place. It was quiet and it was perfect."

"I never write reviews but feel the need to because of the atrocious service at this restaurant. I got food poisoning after ordering sushi from Sushumai last night.I called the restaurant as I am a regular to let them know that I got food poisoning from their spicy tuna roll. The woman who answered the phone was nice and said she is sorry that I got sick from the food and agreed to give me a refund for last night 's food. I thought that was good customer service and got off the phone thinking maybe I would still order from them again as I have ordered many times and never gotten sick before. Then, they called back and the manager got on the phone and was extremely rude. He kept insisting that I did not get food poisoning from his food, because his sushi is very fresh. And I said well that was the last thing I ate before I got sick. His response: I 'm not in your house, so I don 't know what the last thing you really ate was. He wouldn 't let me respond so I had to speak over him, and he kept trying to speak over me. It was beyond rude. He kept arguing with me, and I told him I don 't care to keep arguing with him and that I won 't order again from there. Then I called back later to confirm if they refunded my card. They put the manager on the phone again and he proceeded to continue to yammer on about how fresh his spicy tuna is. I was shocked by how amazingly bad the service is/was and I will no longer support this business. They refunded me for everything except the tip. They kept the tip. Very classy! Also FYI I just read a very similar experience from another Yelper, Allie S. pasted below:I 've ordered and dined in many times before and never had any issues. The food is quite good. However I placed a late night pickup order something smelled slightly off with the food but I didn 't think anything of it.Next morning I woke up sick and I was horribly sick all day. I called the manager and simply asked for the order to be refunded, and he said it was not his food that could have made me sick. He interrupted constantly and refused to let me finish a sentence explaining what happened. Won 't come back again :"

"Great location right in Greenwich Village. They have a covered outdoor seating area that adds a few seats. We didn't have an issue getting seated, though on a weekday night for dinner. They have an outdoor seating area on the street. Despite being outside, the service was still attentive.Sushi plate $25) This included 2 pieces of tuna, 1 salmon, 1 yellow tail, 1 white fish, 1 ikura, 1 tobiko, 1 shrimp, and 1 salmon avocado roll. I picked to have it with miso soup on the side. The sushi wasn't anything special it was decently fresh but nothing to write home about. I liked the ikura and the salmon avocado roll. It was an alright value for $25, but you can definitely get better quality fish elsewhere."
