"We had breakfast yesterday at The Hot Little Grill. The food was good, service good. The items on the comments on TA were not on the menu. It is indeed a little place. Our friends had omelets and they raved about how good they were. I had a Mexican dish that was good. The owner is the chef and took our orders and was quite pleasant."

"What a hidden gem in La Cruz! We shared a BLT and a hamburger and both were completely delicious! The BLT came on a cheese bagel and the hamburger came with wonderful skinny fries! Fresh food takes time to prepare so it could take awhile...but oh...it is worth it! And the cost was very very reasonable."

"We recently went for dinner on a Saturday evening to watch the sunset. We were the only ones in the restaurant for the entire time we were there. Perhaps a clue as to what is happening to this place?As other reviewers have said, the food was sub-par. The fish was mediocre tasting - no flavour or 'zing'. Rice was well...just rice. The vegetables were definitely past their peak - the broccoli was so old it was yellow instead of green; and the vegetables were barely lukewarm. Disappointing to say the least - especially for the prices they charge. Such a shame as it is a great location and used to be so lovely."
