"There aren 't many hamburger places in French towns, outside McDonalds (okay, not really French), so we were quite happy to find Speed J 's right around the corner in Saumur. Food is good, and reasonably priced. Rather than just one special sauce, they have 8 different sauces you can get added to your sandwich. Hamburgers aren 't production line, like McDonalds. Plus, Speed J 's is located just off the main velo path"

"Great food and service on a weekday sitting outside this ancient building was had in August 2015. However, we have been back twice on weekdays, in Sept 2016 and June 2017 and both times this place has been closed so you need to check before deciding on this locale. Can be thoroughly recommended if open though !!!"

"We dined here after reserving a table earlier in the day. There were roadworks taking place at the time of our visit and some young cyclists thought it fine to ride quickly up and down the road and then skidding to a halt causing lots of dust to fly when people were dining close by on the pavement area outside the restaurant. We all chose the fish, chips and peas. Our meal took a really long time to arrive and didn’t look very appetising when it was eventually brought to our table. The batter on the fish was dark brown and over cooked,the chips were also the same colour. This was all served on a bed of very tired looking lettuce. Overall a disappointing meal."
