"I've been eating their home made fries for the last 35 years and they were an annual (at the very least) treat to look forward to after 6-7 hours of driving. However, they appear to have changed the oil used in the fries and they no longer taste anywhere near as good. They are still homemade but they are definitely not what they used to be, not even close."

"Good food almost home made but i think the prices are going up, i like the fish but the batter is like rubber and taste kind of sweet. the restaurant is clean except the cinnamon buns seem old hard on the sides. coffee is good."

"The food is ok. They offer simple, plain bacon cheeseburgers and dark bitter fries and powdered gravy. The service is slow and unorganized. But the wait, my god the wait. Two burgers and one fry should not take 45 minutes to be served. There is not a single ingredient involved in a bacon cheeseburger that takes more than 7 minutes to cook. The same goes for the fries. So either the kitchen is extremely unorganized or the cooks are simply untrained. Ultimately this place suffers from very poor management and that suffering is passed on to the customer. This place stays popular though simply due to the lack of choices in the Pas and benefits by closing down each winter long enough for everyone to forget just how disappointing this place really is."
