""Die Metzgerei" ist ein liebevoll eingerichtetes Lokal im Mannheimer Lindenhof. Wir haben sehr schön gesessen und das Ambiente genossen. Leider wurden wir vom Essen etwas enttäuscht. Die Lasagne war ok, aber (wie wir Pfälzerinnen sagen) "läpsch" (nicht ausreichend gewürzt) und nur lauwarm. Schade."

"First the short version for those who don't want to know how I'm going: tradition kept high To live up to the Äbbelwoi Föhl, one kept quietly more detailed than just great place or something! At least the opinions are unanimous. That's it. I like unfaithful tradition. That's exactly what happened at Föhl. We haven't been there for a few years and wanted to catch up on a warm June day. The beautiful garden area was fully occupied; so the guest room remained. Of the numerous Äbbelwoi economies in Neu Isenburg, this house has remained unrestricted. Others have abandoned, have been leased, have fallen sharply in their quality or have been changed so that they no longer play a role today, at least as an apple wine local. Even direct competition can score with its well-known name. In direct comparison, however, the green tree falls into a deep hole. You should never try to hip tradition, that goes wrong. For decades, the long and good tradition of the house Apple Wine Föhl has been unveiled in the Gaststube. The patinated institution, still very far from the ban on smoking, bears witness to it. The offer of spice and potion has also not changed in the basic features. Perhaps usefully supplemented. My Rumpsteak was successful. It is not possible to use exotic dishes and frozen or modernized apple wine here. That would be quite close to panting. Hopefully, that's the way. "This place is a true local gem. The handy cheese is delicious! Try everything, I ate here three times on my trip to Wiesbaden and I'm so sad to have to leave it behind. The owner is a sweet women and helped me (and my limited German each time. This is a cash only place so be prepared (it's worth it I promise!"

"We went there with a group of this week for some german food. I had the Handkaes with Musik as a starter which was nice. I ordered the Schlachtplatte with Bratkartoffeln as the main and I was really disappointed. The mini pork knuckle that...came with it was not grilled, the fat outside was totally wobbly and I had to remove everything and ended up with only eating a bit of it. The Bratkartoffeln were rather whole little potatoes grilled in a pan, which is not what you think of Bratkartoffeln in Frankfurt. Next time I stick to the restaurants outside the tourist areas"
