"Had the Chicken Ramen because that's the only ramen with no pork broth. Awesome taste. I did a big mistake by ordering Extra Spicy. Please go for Medium Spicy no matter how much you love spicy food. I also had the octopus balls for the first time in my life and it was the best thing I had since ages. Melted in the mouth"

"I can't say enough about this little gem. The food is consistently great: a mix of wooden-skewered deliciousness grilled to perfection, fish, meat, veggies. It's a very popular place, for a good reason. The only occasional challenge is making a reservation. It's old school in that you have to call in. The best time, as I've learned, is between 5:00 and 6:00. Otherwise, they tend not to answer the phone. It's possible to get a table or seat at the grill bar if you show up, but challenging on Friday and Saturday nights. It's so worth the effort. I have a friend who is a Michelin-star-seeking foodie who calls this the best restaurant in Los Angeles."

"Cozy hole-in-the-wall restaurant I love Ebisu, they serve comfort Japanese food with yummy desserts. I ordered the yakitori with chicken and it was yummy. It’s a stir fried yellow noodle dish with chicken in a savory sauce. It’s a light plate but Ilove the dish because of the texture from crunchy veggies that come with it mixed with the noodles. Usually this is somethingeaten in the summer time. But I enjoy eating this around all seasons. I also ordered the green tea latte which was smooth andcreamy. It was perfect for my sweet tooth."

"No frills solid izakaya that has been serving up Japanese food and drinks for ever. The food is decent (not amazing) but the food and drinks are affordable. Plus the ambiance brings you back to sitting in a local izakaya in Tokyo. If you want privacy, big space and attentive service…go somewhere else. If you want to feel energy, eat decent food and drink with your friends, this is the place."

"Fantastic, Unique NYC Experience. Usually I want to visit a place a few times before I tell someone about it let alone continue my job as an unpaid restaurant reviewer......<br/ <br/ Takashi is a lot of fun. You can probably expect a bit of a wait the place is pretty tiny. If you have gotten this far then you know what the place is about: you get high quality cuts of raw meat and you cook it on a grill in front of you. or eat it raw which I was inclined to do.<br/ <br/ Warning: Some of the meat is offal. (And Awfully good! <br/ <br/ Grill some beef cheeks, sweetbreads and liver. Add in some raw short ribs served nigri style with uni on top. Mix in some pickled vegetables and some FANTASTIC kim chi. Drink some beer and have the ice cream dessert. That's a damn nice meal."
