"Room was freezing on the arrival, heating only in bathroom. Air con not working properly. Room clean . Zero star for service. Not have a breakfast cos been accuse I didn't pay on front of other guests. Very unprofessional. : needed start my course with no breakfast. Rooms: No heating. Air con took ages to give 20 degree in roon where in toilet was boiling . Rooms: 3 Service: 1 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet"

"A good value Sunday lunch with a choice of 3 meats. You can help yourself to vegetables. I'm gluten intolerant and they do a good gluten Free gravy but we booked beforehand to make sure they had some."

"Eating was enormous, but service was very bad. waited an hour between the starter and the head and waited half an hour until our empty teller are deleted from the table, and that was only after we had called a manager when it went out over a sweat."

"Definitiw one of the better wetherspoons pubs and I was in many countries. my regular dish is chickenburger and chips with a pint of heineken they give me a delicious burger with many chips and the condiments of my choice. the beer always tastes fresh comes to a large sum that they cannot be robbed at this price. for the desert it is in the regular mini-cookie-tough ice and beautiful plate of gooey-cookie-tough with creamy ice everything for me always found these pub immaculate the toilets so clean they could eat their dinner on the floor. thank you for being my local!"

"Dined out using the government discount. Some menu options weren't included but that was made clear at the beginning of service. We have dietary requirements which were well catered for. The waitress was really attentive without being on top of us all the time. she was lovely. Nice quiet atmosphere, good mix of fellow diners and good views of Tyne and bridges. We would definitely visit again"

"Went to the maven for an anniversary dinner. The atmosphere was very romantic and chilled. The service was very quick and we weren't kept waiting for our food. I found it very good that they offered a vegan menu and you can mix and match for same included price. The food was nice. I had the Thai chicken laska, the only thing I can say is that there was still cartilage and alot of skin left out the chicken, so it tampered with the overall quality of the food. Overall I did have a pleasant experience, will return when restraunt week is on, as quite pricey for quality otherwise"

"Popped in on Saturday night for a couple of G&Ts. Great local (judging by the accent) singer/guitarist to entertain us and very friendly barman. Had been at the Heineken rugby cup final during the day so a couple of drinks with live music was just the ticket. Bar was quite empty when we left at about 11.00pm but had been fairly full when we arrived at about 9.30pm. Would recommend a visit."

"Busiest I've ever seen it although not a regular. Hand sanitizer at entrance, one way system marked but ignored by some. Staff on at about 4pm 20/8 very helpful and friendly. Limited on real cider but Symonds ok."
