"We chose Three Blue Ducks because we had not been to the Brisbane establishment and wanted a special occasion with friends we had not seen for many years. When we exited the elevator we were met with an overpowering sewage odour which wafted through the restaurant for the whole afternoon. We were told it was due to low tide on the river and I felt there should have been a plan B to mitigate the impact as it seemed to be a known problem. Three of our party ordered a glass of Australian bubbly and it was specified a number of times we only wanted three glasses. During the meal I suddenly became aware our glasses were being topped up and we had to pay for the bottle. The food and service quality was mixed and despite enjoying the company of our friends the restaurant experience was disappointing."

"It’s a nice restaurant. One of the staff was very attentive and welcoming. We had vegetarian lasagna which was very different from what we usually call lasagna. It was mainly chickpea on a thin layer of eggplant. It was tasty though and a bit salty. The mains arrived a bit late. We had chocolate brûlée and spring tart for dessert and they both were nice."
