"We had a decent time at this place after walking around the old city. The food was decent, it has a lot of historic lineage (claims to be the first cafe in Vienna and also where Mozart held his performances). The staff on the other hand had a bit of 'attitude', which basically meant he didn't get a tip. An example of the attitude - He asked me not to rush him, while all I asked was whether the kitchen was still open. Once is probably enough."

"I had one of the only GF pastries I saw available (you can use their abbreviation system as standard in Austria to label allergens) which was Kardinal Schmitt and I will put in a photo shortly- very good! Usually a line to get a seat indoors but outdoors if cold weather is immediate!"

"I entred the place and had a seat. Waited the attendant finish her typing on her cell to make my order. Coffee was so and so. When I paid her, she said she did not accept small coins such as of 1 and 2 cents that would make total of 10 cents. OMG. It is money isn't it? I got as a change why cant she get it too?! Did not like this place at all."

"Having just arrived in Vienna my wife and I decided to take a walk from our hotel and came across this very traditional Viennese cafe, which sold traditional food and very reasonably priced.We each had a main course and both couldn't be faulted, I had the homemade stew and my wife the club sandwich. This with 2 drinks and coffee came to 28 euros, so good value for money.The big downside from my perspective was the amount of smokers in this small cafe. Our clothes were stale with the smell of smoke the following day.The service was very pleasant although the surroundings were traditional but dated.If you are looking for a cheap bite to eat and don't mind the smokey atmosphere, then this is your place."
