"I had gone by the Sherwood Restaurant a million times but never stopped in. So last Sunday my girlfriend and I decided to check it out. Ends up they have great deals on Breakfast Specials and the portions were HUGE ! The food was very good and just a continual flow of people coming in. It is one of Branford's best kept secrets ! Well done ... Keep up the great work. I highly recommend this restaurant !"

"Today we had breakfast here and we have eaten the most delicious pancakes, these have been really delicious. The cheese and bacon sandwich was delicious too. The girl who served us was very kind and nice and the place itself is nice. Totally recommended, we will be back soon. The prices so affordable"

"Don’t waste your time or money. We got seated, and no one came to take our order. A girl eventually said she spotted us and that no one marked down our table. Our orders were taken and the fruit salad was moldy. It took 15 minutes for me to flag down the waitress and she grabs the fruit out of the bowl with her hands and spins it around as if she didn’t believe there was mold. She offers a new salad and I told her it’s fine I’m turned off of the fruit. She then proceeded to say that it happens sometimes. I asked for more syrup for my husbands pancakes because we only got a small pack that didn’t cover both pancakes. She agrees. Returns 15 minutes later long after the pancakes are gone. Water was empty more than half our stay and no one checked on us or offered to top up. There were no waitresses around to even flag down. Our whole section was empty except for us and the place was not packed. We ask for the bill and had to wait another 10 minutes. She drops the bill off then says there’s no machines. So we waited another 10 minutes. It was only after a different waitress spotted us that we got service. When paying the waitress starts making excuses (even though we didn’t complain but she clearly is aware we were neglected) about how we were sat in her area but then her area was moved. No apology. Just her excuses. So unprofessional. If you see the older lady with long brown hair in a pony tail, I recommend you ask for a different, more attentive and professional server. Food was mediocre."

"Very interesting burger (photos below). I had to eat 4oz. of 10oz. burger patty without some bun. A medium sized Kaiser sub bun would have been a better fit. But that’s just my opinion. Lol. The staff was amazing and super friendly as well. Many businesses would benefit from have more employees like this young lady who served me. Made my day."

"We were with. we asked that it was too early for lunch....no was the answer. they can get everything in the menu. I had the breakfast shimmer. my wife has irritated the lunch special. hot Bratbeef sandwich. we waited for the meal. I was. my wife was eating stone cold. everything. I gave it back. got hot again. as it was to the everlasting. not good"

"Liked it much better in old location. Service was slow and breakfast in whole was disappointing. Place is not very inviting from tables to decor. Very small and crying children did not make for an enjoyable . Last time I will go"
