"I was taught to not start with a negative but I can't help it. I have never been here but a few friends traded off a breakfast at the Cosmic Omelet with me and in trade I would go to The Gathering. The worst part of my visit was that I had to pick two friends up to go with which delayed my arrival. I could have spent hours here. I enjoy the Cosmic Omelet because of their art gallery but The Gathering has an amazing atmosphere which 10000% suited my musical tastes. An original Mamas and the Papas album on the wall? Hell I remember where I was the first time I ever heard California Dreamin. And no I am no old timer, I just turned 40....3. The staff, amazingly kind and generous with their time. Amazing sense of humor. While the male waitstaff at the CO makes me smile the ladies at The Gathering will make you belly laugh. I tried the steak(something) omelette. It was cooked perfectly. I loved it. I mean like it was great. The coffee was great and there was no rush for us to go. The only difference is the CO has larger coffee mugs but The Gathering kept bringing those refills....for nearly two hours. IT was great! Will be back!"

"Good food in a cozy diner. Not much of a wait at 10am on a Sunday morning, but it was pretty full. Wait staff was attentive without being overbearing. I'll definitely be back again.Parking: Parking along Main Street in downtown Manchester can be hit or miss. There are several lots to use and some slant parking along the north side of the street."

"Decent brunch spot. I'm used to food from Montréal and heard this place was styled like it. I was excited to see crépes on the menu but they were a bit basic. Service got a couple items wrong. It seemed like a nice spot for breakfast but nothing really stood out"

"I would give Steve?s a solid 4.5 stars. We ordered the Spud on a jalapeño cheddar bagel $7.89) and the Marlon on an Asiago pesto bagel $6.89). Both sandwiches were great; the bagels tasted fresh and flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and they were filling/a good size for the price. We waited 15-20 minutes, but some other customers who arrived after us were told they would have a 30-40 minute wait for any grilled sandwiches so maybe not the best option if you?re short on time)."

"Like a lot of older hotels it has seen better times and some rooms are in need of an update. Very clean though and the rooms are massive and good beds as well. Didn't have one nights bad sleep in 2 weeks. The staff are very nice courteous and helpful no complaints there. The restaurant is a letdown though as it's expensive and there isn't much choice. Not even a curry! The Steaks and the Lasagne were very good, avoid the fish and chips at all costs. The triple cooked chips were not fresh they were frozen home fries from the supermarket I think. All in all a good stay but the restaurant needs to up it's offers. BTW there is an excellent Chinese take away a 2 minute drive down the road and they were the best I have had in years. Homemade pancake rolls huge size. Highly recommend as you can ask for a plate and cutlery from the hotel staff. Quite a few eating options a short drive from the hotel as well. One thing the plug sockets are in all the wrong places if you want to use your laptop for work. Bring an extension cable lol"
