"This is more a dining experience.. rather than a place to go fill up. The food was experimental and fantastic.. with little subtleties, that were really impactful, such as the caramelised onion butter or the crispy duck egg on the potato salad. The Chief deserves top marks.. However it’s contemporary vibe felt a bit incongruous in Rye.. overly self-aware.. a difficult place to relax in .. as a diner you felt that you were doing some of the work to create a great dining experience. Worth going 4 stars"
