"Taking a page from a typical Japanese Yakiniku restaurant, in addition to offering a selection of different beef dishes, 'Gyubee ' operates under a modified business model by incorporating a varied selection of other meat, seafood and vegetable products. This, to attract a bigger and more diversified clientele! With the partial lifting of Covid restriction, we decided to have a long overdue family dinner at a 'relatively safe ' venue. What better place to pick than one that has powerful exhaust fan at every table, operating at full blast to expel air, smoke and......Omicron air droplets?! Ha! Overall, the selection of beef prime steak, ribs, tongue , meat chicken thigh, cartilage, lamb, pork belly.... , seafood prawns, squid, clams vegetable King mushrooms, mushrooms, zucchini, sweet potatoes... plus side dishes Kimchees, cold noodles, coleslaw, seaweed.... were of fresh and fine quality.......the beef well marbled and tender. On top, their choice of meat marinade and offering of dipping sauces which, to me is a major requirement, were super-delicious and did not disappoint. To me, the surprising stand out was the ' lamb ', tender and not at all gamy! Of all the beef choices, the Miso marinated prime rib steak was my hands-down favourite! Amongst the non-flame grilled products, the steamed clams in Sake and garlic butter was full of umami goodness and definitely worthy of repeated order! Service was friendly and extremely efficient and attentive! Final question?! Why are they operating at full capacity and NOT 50% as per current partial restriction?! Ignorance or Greed??!!"

"Food was hot when i picked it up but unfortunately not very tasty.We had the cantonese chow mein(okay but noodles not good,) Lemon Chicken(overcooked,) chicken fried rice(was good,) Egg Foo Yong(no sauce more like an omelette. I had anticipated an excellent dinner but all I took from it was that Ihad to look for a better restaurant for takeout."

"This place moved from Chinatown in Toronto and we lost touch. But my bro found them behind the Pacific Mall in Markham. The crispy Szechuan beef and the stir fried beans are the high light for me. Also the lemon chicken is the best I've had anywhere. The curry chicken was different then anywhere else but delicious. Medium sized dining room, but usually busy. Price is the same anywhere. Oh, the crab corn soup was not as good as I remember...but that is minor."

"I frequently visit the Richmond Hill location but when I'm in Markham, I stop by here. The Markham location has a slightly different vibe than the others in the GTA because it is much smaller and calls for some minor changes. First and foremost, is the food. The wings are the best at All Star's and I usually go for the Lemon Pepper and Pandora's Box flavours when I'm there. If you aren't a wing person, there are ribs (of course), burgers, sandwiches, fries, fish & chips and others along those lines. The waiters are definitely working hard and especially when it gets busy on certain nights. Sometimes, we have to wait a while to get a table and other times, the place is deserted. The bathrooms and generally the whole restaurant is clean and there is good maintenance throughout but there is still a weird feel. The service is decent but needs some work. If you decide you want to visit on Friday or Saturday nights, or on a game night, make sure you reserve a table because it could get hectic in there. Generally, I think that the place needs a little renovation but you can't really blame them for the size since it's located in a plaza. Generally, I would say that any of the All Star's locations are worth stopping by but if you can, try driving a little further and go to the Richmond Hill location."
