"Good morning! Since the reopening I have returned to eat the famous meat buns from Gros Hector several times and I must say that I was pleasantly surprised by the very good taste of the past. In recent years the taste had unfortunately changed, not that they were not good but more like the good old days. So if you want to eat the best meat buns in Quebec which have made Gros Hector famous for 75 years as well as the Poutine pizza and many other choices on the menu, don't hesitate; see you soon at the Gros restaurant Hector on Louis 14!! Thank you very nice renovation!!"

"The best poutine I 've ever had by far! Definitely you go here for quality of food and not to be babied and pampered by the staff. They are busy and move fast if you 're non French speaking my suggestion is to start with bonjour hello can I please have... instead of trying to speak French. Luckily for me my husband is French speaking and ordered no problem but two people from Ottawa came in after us and bravely tried to order in French but the servers were impatient and short with them like I said, they 're busy and have lots of orders to handle in a small space...Definitely highly recommended just for quality alone!"

"Delicious poutine. Sauce is really good. Fries are crispy. "Pain à la viande" really good. (Hot dog bun filled with ground meat and onions). Worth the visit!"

"This is my favourite Bell Province location in downtown Montreal. All though they are a chain they don’t all taste the same and the portion sizes are different. This one always has great fries and the poutine is one of the best with great size for the price. Service is always super quick and friendly. Whenever we come to Montreal we always come here at least once."

"I was staying at the nearby Comfort Inn and this place was within walking distance. I wanted to try one of Quebec's exclusive fast food places. I got there at about 7pm on a Monday and there was nobody else in the restaurant so my service was quick. I ordered the cheeseburger and poutine. From the time I ordered to when I got my food was about 6 minutes. You can see them make the food just on the other side of the counter. I took my food back to my room so I could watch TV and eat. The burger was good, but nothing spectacular. However the poutine was excellent. The fries were a nice thick cut, the cheese curds were delicious and the gravy was a nice consistency. The price was a little bit more than at a McDonald's or Burger King, but the quality was better too and I was happy to pay that little extra for quality."
