"So we went to George's. And haven't been here since back in 2018. Yes, it's been that long. I had ordered the hot turkey grinder with lettuce, tomato and mayo. OMG! It brought back memories. So, here is a little story. My husband is from CT and I was a navy brat. We met in the military. So, when it came time to get out and figure out where to reside. I decided to choose to move to CT. It was all due to food. That was my motivation for moving here. The food in CT is so diverse you don't get this in most states. So, when we first go married and would come to CT to see his family. He brought me to George's the first time and this hot turkey grinder was so BOMB! I couldn't get enough. Every time after when we would come to CT this is the first stop we would go to. George's is what nailed it. I wanted more. And having it again yesterday 12/20/22 they did not disappoint. It is still that good. Also, we had ordered two pizzas one large cheese pizza and one large pepperoni, sausage, hamburger and mushroom pizza. It was both on point too. I can't tell you guys how good their food is. If you haven't tried them you definitely need too. Sorry, we didn't take any pictures because I did only order it to go. But, they do have a dining room area if you want to be served instead of taking it home. We ended up eating the turkey grinder on our way home and finished eating the pizzas when we finally got home to the family. Lol. Couldn't wait. That is really how good it is."

"Decorated Nicely and very comfortable for dining. The diner is also clean and you will get the seat right away. The food is excellent and the portion is a good amount. The staffs are also very friendly. If you are visiting this neighborhood I will recommend having a look and taste their food."

"Went here for breakfast and can say I was not disappointed in any way. From the minute we stepped in we were taken care of in best way possible. Ive never met a more service minded individual than our server Adam! The food came really quick and with Adams kindness and humor it brought a smile on all our faces. "I had a dinner there the other night. A chicken cutlet with spaghetti. The meal could easily fill three people. Side salad it came with was in its own a stand alone dinner. The plastic wrapping on everything and sneeze barriers somewhat diminish theatmosphere of otherwise very cozy diner. Individually wrapped buns and bread sticks make it feel like a cheaper establishmentand not worked with otherwise tasty menu. The next day breakfast was altogether different. I asked for two eggs and two stripsof bacon and white toast. Eggs came with the large amount of fried potatoes that tasted like three days old meal and toast waswholegrain I assume. So I carefully separated and ate the eggs and was happy it was over."

"Food was the best part of the experience. Waited longer for a server to come over than we did for our food to arrive. Also…no turkey. How do you run out of turkey when 80% of the menu has turkey in it? Very odd set up of the restaurant. Can see right through the very cramped and crowded kitchen. Owner was doing bills in the middle of the restaurant. Staff was rude and did not acknowledge our existence. Weird hours. Our waitress herself was actually very nice, though I could tell she was overworked and stressed. Wallpaper is peeling, decor is mixed matched. Prices were good. All around just an underwhelming experience.Kid-friendliness: Very much a family style restaurant"
