"Bitter Suite has changed hands a number of times over the years and the food has fluctuated. Living in the area we like to support our local restaurants and have been here many times before. This was however the most disappointed we have been with both the food and service. When we wanted to order and each time we wanted something, I had to get up and chase the wait staff of which there were only two, but there were only two other tables occupied in the restaurant besides ours. We ordered off the limited menu we were given, only to find out after there were a number of specials on a board in the distance that we weren’t notified about and would have preferred. The food we had was small serves for the price, which were more fine dining prices not for a casual bistro. The food was tasteless and also came without sauces or condiments which we had to ask for but didn’t help much. We had one drink each then weren’t asked if we would like another despite sitting with empty glasses for some time whilst we were still eating. We also were never asked if we wanted to order dessert prior to the kitchen closing. So they basically missed out on us ordering at least one more drink each plus dessert! We had also booked through The Fork discount deal of which they did not take off the bill and we had to ask for. All up it was not an enjoyable experience for myself and my friends."
