"TL;DR: it’s a different experience from the previous incarnation of the restaurant, but I think they’re doing a great thing of trying to introduce South Indian fine dining. The pumpkin themed Halloween-special menu was a blast. Everything was fresh, well cooked and tasted great. We came in on Halloween without realizing that the restaurant was doing a special tasting menu for the occasion (pumpkin as the main ingredient). My wife was apprehensive as she didn’t like the idea of so much pumpkin but safe to say she came away with new appreciation for pumpkin. We also no longer live in Seattle so didnt remember anything about Rasai other than that we used to like going there ~1.5 years. We learned that the restaurant had changed hands and was under new leadership. We are happy to report that despite the changes to the menu, the quality of the meal and the overall experience were just as good as we remember them. Kudos to the chef and the team on taking a risk. Keep doing what you guys are doing!"
