"Have been going to this place since it was an old Irish pub with swirly window panes and sticky carpets and never have I experienced the rudeness and appalling customer service of tonight. Originally ordered a pizza through Deliveroo £18 so not exactly cheapo Dominoehoohoos. App said it 'd take 60 90mins to arrive so tried to cancel. No can do as the order 's been accepted by the pub. Tried to call the Salusbury 3x. No answer. Contacted Deliveroo who also tried to call with the same result. So went to the Salusbury (kinda negating the point of a delivery takeaway). Beardy guy with pony tail interrupted while I was explaining the problem to a waitress so started explaining again. He blamed it all on Deliveroo. I asked how it could be resolved to the customer 's satisfaction. Nothing to do with him. All Deliveroo 's fault. I need to contact them. Told him I had and there was nothing they could do if noone picked up the phone his end. He claimed they hadn 't called. I pointed out I had 3x and asked if he wanted to see my call log. Now he said he was too busy dealing with me to pick up the phone. (The bar was mostly empty and there were two staff unemployed listening; not answering the phone is a common problem at the Salusbury). He told me Deliveroo hadn 't put the order through while simultaneously holding the chit with my order number. Then he claimed Deliveroo had cancelled the order while another barman put the pizza on the bar. He accused me of shouting. I wasn 't. Then that I was 'gesticulating '. Wasn 't doing that, either both elbows on the bar, one holding my phone. Meanwhile he snotted into his cupped hand! He then began blowing his nose while arguing with me without excusing himself or apologising. He kept interrupting me, wouldn 't listen. So I made a real point of giving him plenty of time to explain while I listened without 'shouting ' or 'gesticulating '. When he 'd finished I asked him to give me the same respect. Immediately I spoke he began talking over me again. By now exasperated but still not shouting or gesticulating I asked what anyone could do if there was noone to pick up the phone to deal with problems he again accused me of losing my temper and told me to leave. I left the pizza behind, came home and after complaining to Deliveroo they made an 'exception ' and said they 'll refund me. This member of staff was a disgrace to the concept of customer service never mind manners and hygiene. He also needs to look up the definition of DARVO."
