"Looking for a fabulous Italian meal, don't keep looking for venture in Valentinos Westdale, or the Stoney Creek location please. Apps are divine, and the pasta, pizza and Panzerotti are excellent. Safe room for a delicious Cannoli either Venetian or Sicilian, with a coffee."

"My boyfriend and I were vacationing in Hamilton, and were determined to find a good poutine. Look no further. While not "traditional" (it features piri piri and a bit of cilantro in addition to crisp fries, a tasty gravy, and cheese curds), it was by far our favorite. Portion sizes were huge, and we left full (and with leftovers). He got the sandwich, while I got a 1/4 chicken breast and wing. We split a large poutine for $15 (we should have listened to our waitress and only gotten a regular). The food was delicious. Piri piri (since we were confused) is a portugese spice that is in many of their dishes. I tried a mild sauce (similar to franks red hot) and medium (similar to sriracha). Both were yummy. Food was very affordable (a 1/4 chicken with a side is only $13) and great for sharing. We also saw salads there that were gigantic, and the waitress was fantastic. A great Hamilton find!"

"Once again had my sister and her mate for a visit and after doing some shopping we wanted to have a simple meal. I recommended this taverna style eatery that reminds me of home in Portugal. It is run by two brothers from Portugal that also do the serving. It is a small place with about 7 to 8 tables with a bar with four stools. When we walked in there were people having snacks and drinking beer while watching hockey on TV, about 3:30 pm , and a few couples having early dinner. We ordered the shrimp platter and the chorico assado, grilled over charcoal, and all three had half portion piri piri chicken. Both the appetizers were excellently prepared and cooked by the lady chef, the chorico was smoked and prepared by one of the brother in house. If anyone reads this review please do me a favour and go just for that and eat it with some bread. THe half chicken was freshly grilled over charcoal with a hot portuguese, piri piri, sauce seved with double fried french fries and portuguese style rice mixed with peas and carrots, $12 a portion. We ended this petite feast with double expressos and bolos de nata, custard tarts, In total with 4 Portuguese beers the bill was $ 96. my family members and I were fully sated and bellies full to the max. If you are looking for good eats at a reasonable price please go here and relax. It is a simple eatery with not to much of fancy hoppa lahhhhh. I hope to return again and often, even for a light snack. They do specials for Saturday and Sunday and they have pick up orders. They will roast a whole pig for you for about $165."

"We decided to find a parking lot and eat early before the skates last weekend. We ate our beer cheese dip appetizer when we watched the world on foot from our window seats. Although it was an 'event' area, and the place was...busy, we didn't feel hurried and the meal was served perfectly. They were from several of their main courses (Salmon and Mac and cheese at 16:00). The washrooms are not easily accessible but clean. A trifle expensive, but easily accessible to all downtown Hamilton and parking."
