"I have been to this cafe three times. The first with a large group of friends. The bill was hopelessly complicated and figuring it all out with no help from the waiter was a misery that took a half hour to accomplish. Second time with...only four people. One of my friends was served food that was stone cold. He sent it back and it came out again stone cold. Third time with two people. The coffee was awful and both of our breakfasts were cold as stone and the eggs not cooked like we ordered. I wanted so much for this place to be good as it is such an historic cafe in which Fidel Castro and comrades planned the Cuban Revolution. You can only go so far with history. The food has to be hot, the coffee excellent, and the service way better than dumb."

"Had Sunday brunch and the cafe latte was okay and the food was okay. this is not a place for older diners but would be a lot of fun for a family with younger kids. staff in costumes, games at the table, cutouts of famous...people to sit with."

"We went to pujol and contramar and this place was our favorite. No joke. We had a very flavorful sopa tortilla, great sangria (they use purified water to make their ice so drink up and keep the Imodium in your bag) and amazing beef tenderloin dish (such a huge and thick cut of beef and super super tender). Really reasonable and nice atmosphere. Go here instead of the other two fancy places unless you are set on seafood. Hands down best meal in Mexico City and that's high praise given what an incredible food scene there is!"

"Friends highly recommended this restaurant, and it was a great choice. Superb location at La Condesa, a vibrant quarter at the corner of Amsterdam av. & Sonora. For a starter I had a Salad of grilled vegetables with asparagus.The vegetables were very crispy and fresh with a nice balsamic sauce. It was accompanied with homemade rolls and blue cheese spread.My main course was fish called Hachinango in pieces. It was one of the best fish I have ever eaten. The sauce was delicious.We shared a typical desert: Churros with hot Chocolate sauce nicely served on a wood track toy and we also tried the Corn cake with Vanilla ice cream. The restaurant had a large collection of Tea and coffee. the price is very reasonable, good value for your money.The service was very friendly and efficient at the same time and they have great valet service."
